Ideal for many

We were on a stopover to visit family but soon realised that this site would suit others with varied interests. Close to town, good shopping, near to seafront and many other facilities. Staff were welcoming and friendly making it a relaxing weekend break.

Perfect site.

Stayed on this site for 6 nights in mid May after travelling down from Scotland. What a credit it is to the hardworking and extremely amiable and knowledgeable wardens. The site is immaculate and so close to all that Southport and its area has to offer. Need any help or information, just ask a warden. It's no wonder that this site is so popular. Thank you to all staff for adding to our memories of a great stay. Definitely on the list of places to return too.

Good site worth visiting

This site is very well positioned near to Southport. We walked in no problem but could be a bit far for some. Close to a play park for children in the park next door. The only problem with the site is that there are far too many unnecessary one way roads on site so people are driving around to get to where they want to be. There is a speed limit of 5 miles per hour and if people stick to this it would be easy to pass each other on the roads. Unfortunately it just shows how the caravan club sometimes want to create rules in order to supply the wardens something to enforce. We witnessed a motorhome that attempted to turn left against the one way system in order to occupy a pitch 2 pitches away. They were turned back by eager staff and forced to do a complete circuit at a time when the site was extremely quiet. We were in a car in the correct direction and there was plenty of room to pass each other.

cracking place .

Well what can I say , it was our first time on this site and my first time as a caravan owner too as prior to this I owned a motorhome for 4 1/2 years . we chose this site as it's close to home and I needed to practice towing and setting up . Brilliant location for the town the attractions nearby , fantastic for taking our dog for walks either way you left the site which he loved . the warden who I met was very informative and pointed me in the right direction as I hadn't towed before so I didn't get stuck down the narrower end and so difficult for turning around in . The site was beautifully clean but can't say much about the showers etc. as we use our own in the caravan . despite living quite close to the site I will be visiting again as I enjoyed the area .

You will not be disappointed.

This is our second visit the first was good apart from the weather, this time the weather was great and added to the experience. The site is very clean although the one pile of doo we saw the whole time we were in Southport was three feet away from our pitch apart from that the site is well worth a visit be it a stopover on route elsewhere or a holiday, lots to do, walks, shops, arts, you name it and you've got it. We will be back, relatively new to caravaning and so far one of our favorite sites.

Another good site.

First time we have stayed at Southport and our overall impression was very good. The only moan I have is that the WiFi was not the best I have experienced. I know many people don't bother with it but for me it is a lifeline. If I can't connect, it means I have to listen to my wife and that just spoils a good holiday.
