we love visiting Southport and this site...it is really handy for the town. Please do beware the traffic officers though-they are very prominent and very keen-both in the town and surrounding areas...do not park on a triangle of land on the left hand side of the entrance to the beach next to Pontins !! Even though it looks like a good place to park and there are no no parking signs- they do ticket people there, we watched one ticket 4 cars - so please take care
Excellent site
We spent three nights at this first class site. The facilities were spotless. The site was very quiet despite being suitated close to the town.
The location was good and the parks nearby were lovely. We found lots to do in the area.
Check in was extremely efficient and we appreciated the assistance in choosing our pitch.
Many thanks for a most enjoyable stay.
Good location
Had a lovely stay at Southport, great or dogs - they loved the sand dunes just outside the site and the lovely park too. Not too far into town, can recommend The Hungry Monk, good food, dog friendly and lots of character. Great walking on Formby beach, with woods nearby too. The site staff were great, put themselves out to rescue an awning in the pouring rain, brill! Access good and not too noisy, but it is by the road, didn't trouble us. Would definitely visit again.

Lovely site
Just back from Southport site and we really enjoyed it. Plenty of room between pitches and really clean. Wardens very friendly - It was really windy one night and the wardens came around checking those Motorhomes/Caravans with awnings to make sure every one was ok. Always emptying the bins an keeping the areas clean. There are plenty of Showers, wash rooms & toilets with hot water any time of the day. There are some good walks if you have a dog; either through Victoria Park that takes you up to Morrisons then straight into Sourhport, or down to the roundabout and down onto the beach which brings you right up to the pier. We could only find 1 dog friendly cafe and there were no pubs with food that were dog friendly. We usually like to have a meal one tea but we weren't able to. Which is unusual as we've always found that all the sites we've visited this year have had a dog friendly pub within walking distance. However this hasn't put us off returning to this site which hopefully will be next year.
Excellent site
This site is excellent in so many ways. Everything is fresh, clean, and modern, including the 2 heated shower blocks. The site staff were spot on with their instant advice, and the info room had everything we needed to know. Just 10-15 minutes walking to Lord St, train and bus services typical every 15-20 minutes, perfect. So handy for Southport centre and further afield, Liverpool, Crosby for Antony Gormley's 'Iron men', so lots to see and do. And eateries - where to start: The Swan - amazing fish and chip shop, Lucy's, lovely cafe/restaurant, Leo's for a warm double brandy and splash at £3.50, and fun people watching. Will be going back for more. A big thank you to the site staff.
Perfect as always
My husband and I have stayed here many times and we are always pleased with how we find it. The site is very clean and the facilities are immaculate. Pitches are well spaced apart and again the roads and pitches are clean and well set out. There is nothing bad to say about this site. It literally is perfect hence why we keep coming back. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The site is within walking distance of the seaside, fair, shopping and town centre. There is plenty to do and see around the local area. Definitely would recommend.
Never let's you down
Regular visitors to this site and we are never left wanting it's brilliant. The facilities are excellent and always spotless, next to the town , beach and parks. Level access for disabled all around the area the wardens and staff are very helpful, never stopped working keeping the site well maintained and clean.
Another favourite site
After a most enjoyable stay at Southport this is now on my list of favourite sites. Very close to the attractions of this charming seaside town and excellent walks over the dunes just opposite the site. Good access to train and bus services. As the friendly warden said on arrival, you can put away the car keys.
