Christmas and New Year

Just returned from 10 nights over Christmas and New Year.  We were on the new service pitches with a great sea view.  They have done a fantastic job with this new part of the site.  The only problem here at the moment is when the wind blows it is very exposed, hopefully that will improve as the new hedges and shrubs grow.  The Christmas meal was excellent as usual.  As always the restaurant menu was very limited, something we have grown to expect here.  A couple of suggestions for next year.  More varied entertainment, in the past we have had some brilliant comedians, this year only singers.  No more pannatone cake!! we used to get some club merchandise, I'm still using my CC mug, and the CC teddy bear lives in the motorhome with us. Seacroft is our favorite site, a superb location only a short walk into Cromer and a good bus service. Next year there will be new wardens which hopefully will not rule with such an iron fist.

Between Christmas and New Year

The problem with any Caravan site we have stopped on (not just the Caravan Club) is that we always compare to the Peterborough site (Ferry Meadows) even though we are local we stop here a lot with our children for lots of mini breaks. Nothing compares to Peterborough's wardens, which I feel was the only downfall with Seacroft. I made the mistake of going to the shower block a few minutes before they closed, I was very quickly ushered away, the site was only 30% occupancy so I didn't see the concern, saying that and reading other reviews we will return for another visit.

Christmas 2015

We  feel  the Christmas Day meal would have been so much nicer had the plates not been cold.Very limited menu available in restaurant before & after Christmas as seems to be the case much of the time.WHY O WHY do we get given pannatone cake every year as a present for us ladies? How about a club gift voucher far more useful or club related merchandise.Previous years the entertainment has been various comedians and singers but not so this year.

Xmas

Wardens very friendly and helpful. Facilities the usual standard on a club site. Good for families because of close proximity to Cromer. The only thing that let the site down was the bar meal we had a couple of days before xmas day which was poor. Wish we had gone to the pub down the road.

An ideal location.

Seacroft is one of those sites that you will visit again and again.  It's perfectly located for the seaside town of Cromer, and well within walking distance (about 10 mins)  Cromer was starting to look a little tired some years ago, but thankfully they have realised the importance of seaside towns and spent some money improving the town.  This has resulted in my opinion as one of the best east coast locations.  You cannot visit Cromer without trying their famous Crab, and no visit is complete without a meal at the No.1 chippy.  There are also some amazing high quality restaurants hidden around the town streets.  Cromer has many places to spend the day and plenty to do, including the huge clean sandy beaches.  Seacroft is a well managed and well kept site.  We stayed on the brand new serviced area, giving us a stunning view of the sea.  They also have an on site restaurant, but when we ate there, it was a little like eating in an old peoples home with no atmosphere, but the food was ok.   Overall a great site and one we will stay at again.

Good location

Stayed at the site early December,  site was clean and wardens very helpful and friendly.  Train station is 15 min walk and train to Norwich is every hour and only 7.90 return and pay on the  train. It's a shame a certain lady (you know who you are cuz you  were spotted) had to keep smoking in the ladies toilets and everyone else having to breath the horrible smell, try to smoke in your own van and consider other people.  Had good 4 days and now skint after Xmas shopping! !!!!

Gem

Just come home from our 5th visit this year. Really is a superb site. Worth paying a little extra and going on a service pitch, if you can get on the new part of the site, it's well  worth it. Site is clean and central for either Cromer or Sheringham. We walked to Cromer everyday and it really is a lovely walk, only 20 mins. Highly recommend.

Tranquilty by the Sea

Just spent a couple of days at this delightful site, on a winters day beside the sea lovely peace and quite. Very welcoming and helpful relief wardens added to the overall pleasure, the quaint seaside town of Cromer just 15 mins walk away, with the added bonus of a club house on site serving drinks and food at reasonable prices, the Red Lion in Cromer is also a very nice place for a drink. Its a good 4 hour drive for us from home, but well worth it, we shall be back!

November break.

Fantastic welcome. Great hard standing pitches. Clean, heated good facilities with an abundance of hot water. Lovely Clubhouse with TV, pool and bar/restaurant. Food was excellent. Ideally placed for motorcaravanners. 10 minutes to beach at East Runton, which has a small supermarket. 20/30 minute walk, along the cliff top if desired, to Cromer. Hardworking, helpful managers who we were pleased to note had the safety of their campers to the fore. We will definitely return.  Thank you for a very enjoyable break.
