Lovely site, dog friendly, child friendly, first time using a serviced pitch, and was well worth the extra, we will be booking serviced pitches wherever we can from now, would be nice if a play park could get put in the middle of the serviced pitches, very quiet site, we liked it so much, we stayed on a further 2 nights, instead of heading to another site, the club house was a great addition to the site, with entertainment in the evenings in peak season, which the kids enjoyed. There is a small outdoor pool which is open May -September. The beach is a short 10 minute walk, quite rocky, but if you check for low tide it is a lovely sandy beach once you have walked over the rocks, our dogs loved it. We walked to Cromer from Runton on the beach which is about 3 miles away, where u can find the traditional seaside shops, ,, but please note Cromer is a small town, you won't find the major places like, Tesco, Asda, Pets at home, Go outdoors, there are NO fast food restaurants (mcds, BL, KFC ) which is a bit of a dissapoinment, but the No1 fish and chip shop is very nice.
We stayed at this site over the 2016 Easter break. The site is immaculate and well kept. We arrived at 740pm and received a friendly, warm welcome which was so lovely after a long drive. We got set up on one of the new serviced pitches and settled in for the night. The next morning we woke to a glorious sunny day and a smashing view of the sea. A note about the serviced pitches: you may need a longer water hose but there is a good caravan accessory shop 2 miles or so away in West Runton. With a club and swimming pool (open May to September) on site, this site is family friendly and suited us very well with a 14.5 month old boy. We ate at the club a couple of times and enjoyed our meals and the beer was good. The Manager of the club was helpful and friendly, though some of the younger bar staff could learn from the wardens and give a warmer welcome. There is lots to do in the local area and quite a bit of it is within 1-3 mile walk. Cromer has old-fashioned charm and Sheringham is pretty. We enjoyed Wells-next-the-Sea (a 40 minute drive away) and can highly recommend Whins Cider and Apple Juice shop and Wells Deli.
