Restful visit

We stayed over the late Sept/early Oct period and the site was not too busy, so we had a wonderful pitch overlooking some (closed at that time) grass pitches and woodland. It was very quiet and peaceful. The site is well located for the Scarborough/Whitby/Filey coastline and the beautiful North Yorks Moors countryside. Very well maintained by the wardens. The lower shower block is starting to show its age, having smaller shower cubicles with no built in seat and wash cubicles with a curtain rather than a door. But the showers have old fashioned shower heads which deliver a wonderful blast of water which is now considered inappropriately wasteful of resources! One of our favourite sites.

Amazing site with first class wardens

We stayed here in April and returned again in October. It was immaculate on both occasions. The wardens were busy all the time and always had a friendly greeting both around the site and in reception. The facilities were extremely clean and well maintained. We will certainly be back again next year.

A beautifully kept and well situated site.

We have visited West Ayton previously and will certainly do so again. A well manicured site, the level of pride taken in it by the hard working wardens is clearly evident. The only minor criticism is the shower block at 'the bottom' of the site is looking a little ragged around the edges and could do with some tlc.

Great Site, Great Place

Had a lovely 3 day Autumn long weekend break here. Site was immaculate and the facilities very good. Liked the location being close to the North Yorkshire Moors and Yorkshire coastline. Marred only by someone with TV on loud with their windows open till midnight but that's not the fault of the site. Will return again. Thanks Wardens it's a great site.

Scarborough Magic

The only fault being it took me TOO long to try this site. A truly pretty site with truly NICE wardens. Great place for exploring the East coast, most are within easy distance. The site is clean, tidy and good for people with ankle biters & those with dogs. Plenty of places to walk & cycle. And if you like a gargle the pub 5 mins away is worth a try. I'd like to find a fault but can't.

A wonderful Autumn break

This past week has restored my faith in the club sites after a very disappointing break last month at Troutbeck Head. The wardens at West Ayton could not have been more different. They are so hard working and keep this site immaculate. My wife found one of the lady wardens cleaning the taps in the toilets with a toothbrush!! Amazing! Way far and beyond the call of duty. Thank you to all the wardens for their hard work and diligence at this site. They are all a credit to the club. The location is great for both the Scarborough coastline and the Yorkshire Dales, so there is always something to do. A great ten days and we will certainly be back.

Stunning site

Our first time at this site and it's now top of our return to list. The position is excellent tucked away in a quiet valley but just 15 minutes walk from the local village which has all you need with a garage, mini market, pub with great food and an excellent fish & chip shop. Ideally located for all the East coast holiday towns with Scarborough 4 miles away, Filey 13 and Whitby &  Bridlington 22. A huge play area for the kids and the biggest dog walking area I've ever seen. This site is perfect and we can't wait to return.
