As a "born again caravaner" and new to the caravan club this is only the second site I have been on and I have to say I am most impressed with this site. The staff were from the moment we arrived very friendly and helpful and remained so for the 3 days we were there. Some reviews talked of "dated" washroom/toilet blocks but we found these to be more than adequate, always kept immaculately and spotlessly clean (in fact, you could set your watch by the arrival of the cleaners).
We would have no issues in recommending this site to anyone wanting a peaceful, out-of-the-way place to stay within easy reach of several seaside towns.
Many thanks to the staff for making our stay so enjoyable. We look forward to seeing you again later on in the year.

Fantastic quick break
A thoroughly enjoyable short overnight stay in a beautiful setting not far from Scarborough. Everyone on site was friendly and helpful, with great facilities. We are looking forward to visit again soon.
Very nice site.
Very quiet and very clean, it was early November 2nd to the 5th to be fair. Well situated for our requirements. Staff were very friendly and helpful. would certainly go back there again. Only one thing I would like to see changed is the addition of a water stand pipe by the pitch instead of having to refill the water but so frequently.
Lovely week
Just spent a week at this site really enjoyed it. First site we've been in that caters for dogs by providing shower space, fabulous idea. Good walks all around site. The only down side is the shower blocks need updating. If you are going, try Walkers fish restaurant in the village (great).

Showers Need an Upgrade
Just spent a lovely week at this site with the dogs - great site for dogs and met lots of really nice people. Wardens very helpful and friendly. Only down side is the showers are too few and too small - it's irritating each morning having to queue for one of the only three showers when six out of the seven privacy cubicles are not in use, could easily be sorted by reducing the number of unused privacy cubicles in favour of more showers. Wouldn't stop us coming back but they do need an upgrade.

a wonderful site
The site was very clean and well kept the staff were very friendly and helpful we had a wonderful break the site has improved since we were last there some 7 years ago and it was good then we are looking forward to going again next year well done.
Great Stay
Lovely quiet site with great facilities, well positioned for local attractions. Very well maintained by friendly and helpful wardens. Toilet block beginning to look a little dated, but kept spotlessly clean. Fantastic day out in Pickering for the WW2 1940s event, truly memorable. Scarborough, Filey, Bridlington, Flamborough Head and Robin Hood's Bay all picturesque and characterful. Had a great time!
Autumn break
This is a lovely, quiet and peaceful site. We have stayed at a lot of very noisy campsites this year so we really appreciated the tranquil setting.
It was so handy to get into Pickering for the 1940's weekend.
Also well situated to visit many other Yorkshire towns and villages.
We will certainly be making a return visit in the future.
Lovely clean site
Lovely clean site, nice size pitches. That said they were spaced quite far from the electric points so I'd suggest a very long power cable.
Really nice facilities including a games room and well equipped play area.
One member of staff however didn't offer anywhere near the same level of customer service that we have received at other caravan club sites. We experienced this on the phone and in person when arriving on site.
Excellant
I stayed at West Ayton for 4 nights with my lab dog Freddie. Great walks down thru Forge Valley woods, about a 2.5 walk. Friendly and helpful wardens. The toilet and shower block maybe a little tired but always clean. Look forward to goin back.
