I’ll keep it short and sweet ... the wardens are LOVELY and so helpful. One of our favourite sites. One of the cleanest sites I’ve ever stayed on and in my book that’s a massive plus! Love it there, and we will be back ... sorry lol
Thanks Steve and Emma
Lovely site lovely wardens Steve and Emma made to feel really welcome and felt they actually enjoyed their job. We will return.
Lovely small site with very friendly and helpful wardens
A lovely peaceful site, with very friendly and helpful wardens. Our dog liked the adjacent dogwalk very much. The site is only a few miles from Salisbury and Stonehenge. No pub or shop nearby.
We definitely will return..
peace and quite in abundance
We spent 19 days here whilst visiting relatives in the area. . If you want to wake up surrounded by nature, to a delightful chorus of bird song this is the place, thanks to Steve & Emma for making the site a beautiful, peaceful place to stay.
A peaceful weekend
We recently spent a lovely long weekend at Hillside, the site and facilities are spotless, immaculately clean.
We were fortunate to have a 'lower' pitch with trees to our rear and a beautiful view over hills in front. I slept so well and woke to the sound of birds chirping - no traffic or outside world to interrupt our peace.
I loved the personal touches of the home grown herbs that we were welcome to pick if we had wanted and the quaint tourist info shed bursting with brochures on local attractions.
We visited Stockbridge and a River walk on Saturday but chose to enjoy the rare sunshine and dog walk on site all day Sunday - it is the first time we have ever spent a day on a site just relaxing. We came home so chilled we will definitely be returning in the near future.
A big thanks to Steve & Emma for making the site as special as it is.
Likeable site.
A lovely, smallish site, with very friendly and helpful wardens. All very well looked-after, with excellent clean warm shower block. At the top of the site, which has the best views, you can hear the road, but it's not troublesome. A peaceful site, which feels very natural. There's a little herb garden by the office, which you can help yourself from! Dog walk area adjacent. We liked it a lot, and will be going again.
Mini Break
I discovered this little gem towards the end of last season. It's an ideal site for me as I travel alone. I stayed there from the 24th-27th May. The wardens are friendly and very helpful the site and facilities are spotless. I parked my motorhome on a hard standing part way down the hill on a level pitch. The warder as placed a little chain at the edge of the pitch so you avoid getting grounded on a little bit of a slope. A great few days... I was able to catch up with my daughter & grandchildren who live in Salisbury.
A hidden gem more suited to couples.
A bit reluctant to write this review and give away the secret! This is a delightful Site, it is so peaceful and well kept. The facilities are spotless and the Wardens friendly & helpful. Not really suitable for children though but ideal for couples. A credit to the Wardens and the Club. Thank you all- Paula & David

Peaceful rural site helpful wardens
I stayed on the Salisbury Hillside site for two midweek nights in late March. Very peaceful site primarily comprising forest glades with a small number of vans in each. Rural views across lovely countryside from some sites. Site is on the side of a hill with the entrance, reception, infohut and facilities block at the top end - A longish walk uphill from the lower part of the site. Located about 5 miles out of Salisbury. Six minutes drive to the Museum of Army Flying at Middle Wallop - Very interesting. Wardens were very helpful - especially going the extra mile to search the site track for my missing motor mover controller after I left site (Silly of me to leave it on the A frame but I was distracted with a conversation to brand new caravanners on an adjacent pitch). Very good value with 50% discount for midweek stays.
Salisbury Hillside
Spent two nights here in our motorhome ....sited down the hill on a hard standing pitch amongst the trees still managed a TV signal from our satellite dome.
Immaculate facilities & friendly wardens
Busy main rd we thought not suitable for cyclists so we hopped on the 10.07 bus (bus stop at site entrance) into Salisbury (endless st)& caught the 4.00 pm back £10 cost for the two of us.
We had enough time to roam around and take in all the sites/views etc.in Salisbury.
