Two Night Stay Over August Bank Holiday

We stayed over the very hot bank holiday weekend. Fortunately we arrived at midday Saturday and had a good choice of pitches so were able to choose a very shady spot overlooking a field (pitch 39). Site very quiet. We cycled into Salisbury although we would not recommend it at all (should of read the reviews beforehand!). There is a main road out of the site which is very busy and fast. The couple running the site are so friendly and very helpful. Small on-site shop was handy for milk, honey (local) and ice creams. Our friends with a toddler joined us for a BBQ. There isn't any children's play equipment, that wasn't an issue for us. We would stay here again as small, quiet site.

Close to Salisbury

Lovely Site, very friendly Warden team, thanks to Steve and Emma and on their days off, Anthony and Christian. The personal touches are evidence of very proud Custodians. Beautifully maintained Site with lovely views across meadows. Small village of Pitton (2 miles away), is worth a visit, nice 5 mile easy circular walk with local pub to finish off. Salisbury is a nice City, and despite having an entrance fee, the cathedral is worth viewing. Lots of quality independent eateries to choose from, market days are a must, great atmosphere although sadly, as with many central locations, City car parking is quite pricey! Will definitely return to this Site. Andrew & Julie

Perfect site for a lady by her self.

This really is a lovely site. I arrived on 24th June & left on the 28th June. Being a novice I'd like to thank the warden for helping me park up and the couples either side of me for helping. All the wardens were very friendly. Also had help on the Friday when I was preparing to leave from another couple who'd arrived mid week. The van is now booked in for motor movers. The facilities are spotless. I highly recommend this site, ideal spot for visiting Salisbury. Thank you for all your help Sheila Benton

Quiet and friendly

The title above says most of what we thought of this site. Well maintained and clean with an excellent info shed. Very happy that we were given a level pitch with a view because we were there for 7 days. Others not so lucky with levelling because it is a very hilly site. Bit of a walk to the showers but it didn’t bother us although if you have mobility issues you might want to check before accepting a pitch. Small niggle but I went to buy some pink toilet fluid and was told I couldn’t use a card to pay.

Beautiful site...

We have returned this evening from a two night stay at Salisbury Hillside. As relatively new to the caravan game, we are never too sure what we are going to find at the different sites we go to. To date, we've always been lucky, and this site was no different. Steve and Emma who run the site do it with love and pride, and there is a genuine feeling of 'coming round to ours' when you're there. It really feels like a home from home. Neat, tidy, very quiet and a great base for taking the dogs off for various walks - try the Clarendon Walk - stunning. I'm sure we'll be back...

Wonderfully Welcoming

This was our second ever trip in a motorhome and the first to a club site. We were made so welcome by Steve and Emma - they were so helpful and gave us so much good advice as newbies - we really felt that they were looking out for us. The campsite itself is lovely and quite and the facilities well maintained. We liked the "help yourself herb garden" by the shop. The site is well signposted from the main Salisbury to Andover road.

Emma and Steve are a wonderful couple, warm and friendly greeting, and when we had a problem with are motorhome ,Steve was there to help with us find the problem. Sadly we could not fix it and had to head home cutting short are stay. Love the site as it good for dog walking and close to Salisbury so we visit the grandchildren 🙂

Weekend Visit - 28/30 September 2018 Pitch 15

We have just had lovely weekend here. The site was immaculate even though it is closing in a weeks time for the season. The grounds were excellent & well cared for: the herb selection the best I have see this summer - so luscious and green; the reception with the hanging baskets were beautiful. The wardens were very friendly and helpful. The facilities were spotless. We had a slight road noise but we were at the higher end of the site and the M27 had been closed this weekend with the detour around Salisbury! I don't feel I could give it 5 stars for a family friendly just because there isn't really anything for children to do but it is a well spread site so there is plenty of space for the children to make their own entertainment with grassy parts and little accessible woody areas. We have been to a few club sites this Summer and all have been good - but this one was definitely! Well done and thank you for a lovely weekend break!

Peaceful countryside location

Salisbury’s friendly welcome and peaceful location was ideal for the two of us who were looking for a relaxing overnight stay. For those who prefer not too cook, there is a great chinese delivery service straight to the camp.
