Time and again

We stayed here a number of times last year and found it is near supermarkets (walking distance). It does suffer from traffic noise most of the day and evening. It is close to many attractions and days out. Bognor town and beach are close by as is Chichester And Goodwood.

40 years on

Chose the site because we wished to go down memory lane to see how a caravan park we used to stay on 40 odd years ago had faired. Rowan park turned out to be about a 50 metres away though  it had been swallowed up by the Bognor out of town retail Park. As for Rowan Park - we found everything to be excellent and the only reason we did not give an overall 5 stars was due to traffic noise.

2nd visit this season

Had 2 nights at Rowan park again , very clean, neat site and very helpful and polite friendly wardens and assistants. They are now able to cut the grass as the site is now drying up , which means the grass pitches can open , which are in a lovely setting . Went into Bognor, walked along the seafront, and went around the shops. Retail park opposite is handy , went to Sainsburys for breakfast it was very good. We will return as lovely site and plenty yet to visit .

Lovely site

Just spent a lovely week-end at this site.  It was spotlessly clean and excellent facilities.  Lots of shops opposite to look round and lots of bargains purchased.  Went into Bognor and had a lovely walk along the beach.  Found a nice cafe which we could take the dog in and the cakes were delicious.  Got a pitch on the inside of the site and did not hear any traffic noise in the caravan.  Wardens were lovely and very helpful.  Would definitely return.  Just wish they would put a zebra crossing outside as road very busy.

Be warned

This site is located opposite a retail park and has 2 very busy roads that run along 2 sides of the park. The road noise is horrendous day and night. Anyone thinking of party members sleeping in a tent or awning should understand they might not get much sleep.  Sitting in the awning or outside in the sun is ruined by the continuous noise. The play park is not suitable for young children and requires updating. How the site can be claimed to be great for families is beyond me.  Yes the Wardens are keeping the facilities to normal club standards and yes the site location (apart from the road) is very convenient.  We will definitely not be returning to this site.

Friendly site

The staff are lovely. The toilet blocks are lovely and clean. It is on a busy road and if your near the entrance you can hear the traffic clearly. Aldi McDonald's kfc and matalan were right outside the site.  Very handy for this. I enjoyed staying here. There are no good bike rides unless you go into Bognor along the beach.

Out of Season at Rowan Park

A very clean and well maintained site with nice level pitches. When first set up it was probably in a very lovely rural setting but sadly over the years the area has been developed, handy for shops and take aways but means there is constant noise (day and night) from the surrounding roads. The staff are very friendly and certainly do an excellent job. Overall an enjoyable stay especially as we were there to visit elderly parents who live nearby in North Bersted.

Nice site

We stayed for a week here and enjoyed our stay. It was very convenient for shopping with the Lidl supermarket just across the road.

Good old Bognor!

The site is immediately adjacent to a busy roundabout, and has constant traffic behind trees on two sides. Having said that, the location is good, being 200 yards from LIDL, and only half a mile to a big Sainsbury, and Tesco, which offered cheaper diesel. Town visits are well worth the effort. Tip: If you have a car or smaller campervan, you can obtain a parking disc for just £1, which then allows 2 hours free parking many times over in 3 handy shoppers' areas. For a larger vehicle, park on the seafront for 90p an hour. Of course, you can walk into town, but it's a bit of a way, and there are bus routes. The site itself boasts an excellent toilet block, the kind with actual doors on the privacy cubicles, and was much appreciated. Unfortunately, it's one of those that requires key entry, and you have to remember to take that with you, or risk being locked outside, er.. again! Pitches close to the facilities, (and away from the roads) are at a premium, so don't always expect to be close-by unless you arrive early, and even then, you'll need luck on your side. Rowan Park is well worth visiting however, we had a good little holiday there, and you should too...
