Great site

From previous reviews I was expecting to need ear plugs but the noise wasn't half as bad as claimed. I guess it's a matter of what you're used to. The site was clean and well maintained and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Have no idea what the resort is like but the camp site was a very relaxing place to spend a Saturday night.

Nice but.....

As another member has stated this is a great site that suffers from excessive noise from the local car fanatics. The noise from the road is acceptable during the day but at night the screaming motorbike and car engines get annoying. The wardens are great, very helpful and cheerful. The site would be great if it weren`t for the noise created late at night......

Noise, noise and more noise.

We stayed here for three nights. The background traffic noise is acceptable, but the noise is horrendous from the motorbikes and boy racers that use the road known as ' the mad mile. They come out at night and use the road as a racetrack. I really cannot see how others can review this site as ' peaceful ' they must be having a laugh. The noise can go on until 2am and is unacceptable and the police do nothing to stop it. Facilities on site are first class and the site is well laid out, it could be a really good site in another location. There are plenty of shops just across the road and getting about was easy with good transport links. Would not recommend the site for a restful break or holiday and to be honest we would not visit again.

Good location.

This is a clean and tidy site next to a small nature reserve on the outskirts of Bognor. It is a good base for visits to Chichester, it's harbour villages such as Bosham, and the South Downs. Little Hampton sea front and Arundel are close by. Across the road from the site is a large retail park where you have a choice of supermarkets. On the downside, the road which borders two sides of the site is very busy and noisy. Also Bognor is worth avoiding as it is a typical jaded seaside town so often found in Britain.

Lovely site

We book this site for at least a week every year when we visit relatives in Bognor Regis. The site itself is excellent, clean and the staff brilliant. The only drawback is the traffic noise all around the site as the site has roads on three of its four sides as it is also near a busy main roundabout into Bognor. We really like this site and if you can ignore the noise its really good with a playgound for kids and plenty of rabbits roaming the area. There is a huge dog walking field next to the site which is a great bonus as we have two dogs and they love it there. Dont let the traffic put you off it quietens down at night and we always got a good nights sleep.

Love it!

We recently spent almost a week at Rowan Park, we love it!!! Lots of grass pitches and trees- it really is like a park. The wardens are friendly and helpful and not as 'bossy' as some we've encountered. There are still plenty of grassy pitches- please don't change them to hardstandings- Its quiet and peaceful [some road noise] overall a lovely place to be. Thanks, we'll be back.

A great site

Me and my partner and 15 yr old daughter plus three dogs stayed here from Friday 13th to Sunday 15th may and found Rowan park to be a very well maintained site ,the showers and toilets were spotless and the staff were all very friendly. The only downside was the traffic noise but this didn't really bother us but may be a problem for some people. The dog walk next to the site was great for our dogs although the rabbits around the site in the evening's were a bit of a tease for our two lurchers . We all feel that this site will definitely be seeing us again soon !

Noisier now

Thanks to the new road which is now the main cross route around Bognor the site is much noisier on three sides. It is a nice site however, great wardens and spotless toilet/showers. There are many shops near the site and it is just 2 miles to the beach and Butlins. Chichester is 20 mins car ride - a lovely place. In fact the whole of the south coast is accessible from the site. Give it a go, but ask where it is less noisy!

Peace in a busy area

We spent 5 days at this site during May 2016 and found the site a haven of peace in an increasingly busy part of the world - we have been here several times before. The wardens were lovely people going out of their way to be as helpful as possible. The new extension to the A259 makes access to the site much easier and allows avoidance of the rather poor road surfaces that one had to use in the past, although it is worth bearing in mind that the new road was to facilitate a lot more house building. Judicious use of roads and times of day for traveling will enhance a stay here.

As previous reviews

Nice site, friendly and helpful wardens. Toilets spotless. Unfortunately we were on the "outside" row or pitches and the site is on the corner of a busy junction with main roads on two sides and a large industrial site just acorss the roundabout so it was pretty noisy. Macdonalds across the road is 24-hours so noise all throught the night. There is a Lidle, Burgher King etc. also across the road. We could not speak for the pitches towards the back as they are probaly quieter. Large wild life resereve off the site entrance is an ideal dog walk.
