We stayed overnight after getting off the Ferry at Portsmouth only took us 15 mins to the site. It was a lovely well looked after site and the Warden was very helpful and friendly and they even had shop with some basics which was brilliant. Site was immaculate only downside was it was school holidays so lots of excited children on bikes but will certainly use this site again.
We stayed for a week 2 adults 4 kids 3 dogs the staff were very helpful friendly and welcoming. The site is beautiful and very clean.it was perfect and we will definitely be staying there again .
Spent a lovely 3 weeks here, toilet blocks very clean and tidy, as we have come to expect at caravan club sites. Wardens all very friendly and kept the site immaculate. Wardens were fantastic with the children on site, yes very busy, but what else would you expect in August and near the coast! Will definitely be back.
Great site, clean and friendly helpful warders. Dogs must be kept on leads, but children can race around every where, even against traffic, on there bikes !! Safe considerate cycling is ok, but this has got to stop...the site itself is not an adventure park, children have a safe area to play in....all Club sites seem to allow this ....
Spent a few days here, location very good for coast and NT places etc. Very clean and tidy, TB facilities very good. Very busy site, lots of children riding around so have to be quite careful. Will be happy to stay there again.
Rookesbury Park is one of our favourite sites. The setting is beautiful, a short drive to the coast and the site is always immaculate. However, on this visit the welcome we received from one of the wardens left us feeling very flat and hardly in the holiday mood.
A very friendly and ultra clean site. Wickham village is a very pleasant 35 minute walk. With plenty of other walks around, makes for a very relaxing break.
Only stayed one night as a stop over before catching the ferry from Portsmouth across to France. lovely welcome very clean and well kept excellent facilities. We really enjoyed our short stay and would like to return and stay a bit longer to explore the area. We had an evening ferry crossing and they were kind enough to let us stay on the pitch until 4 pm so we went for a lovely walk into the village.
the location for ferry port was great but my only critism if I had to be critical is that we followed the sat nav to get there which lead us down farm tracks and I was in panic mode as I thought we were on a road to nowhere when we eventually found it which was a great relief but it was not very clearly sign posted it seemed to be in the middle of nowhere . When we arrived we were advised that we should've followed directions from the caravan club book and not the sat nav - a learning curve for the future perhaps !! Would definitely go back now we know where to go and actually it is quite easy when you know where it is .
Only my second trip in the caravan and on my own this time, upon arriving I asked for an easy pitch as I'm still not sure of reversing. The warden escorted me to the pitch on his bike and gave me directions and advice on reversing onto the pitch, helping me level my caravan and making sure I was happy before he left me to it. All this at about half past seven at night when he should have been going home with his wife. I cannot fault anything about this site or the people that work there and will definitely use it again for a longer stay next time. Thanks to everyone at Rookesbury for making my stay an absolute pleasure.
