Spotlessly clean

A very friendly and ultra clean site. Wickham village is a very pleasant 35 minute walk. With plenty of other walks around, makes for a very relaxing break.

A Park For All

A lovely park with a lot to offer, good days out, nice walks and a good dog walk. Its a nice park to be a "Bolt Hole"

A great site

Only stayed one night as a stop over before catching the ferry from Portsmouth  across to France. lovely  welcome very clean and well kept excellent facilities. We really enjoyed our short stay and would like to return and stay a bit longer to explore the area. We had an evening ferry crossing and they were kind enough to let us stay on the pitch until 4 pm so we went for a lovely walk into the village.  the location for ferry port was great but my only critism if I had to be critical is that we followed the sat nav to get there which lead us down farm tracks and I was in panic mode as I thought we were on a road to nowhere when we eventually found it which was a great relief but it was not very clearly sign posted it seemed to be in the middle of nowhere . When we arrived we were advised that we should've followed directions from the caravan club book and not the sat nav - a learning curve for the future perhaps !! Would definitely go back now we know where to go and actually it is quite easy when you know where it is .

Great few days

Only my second trip in the caravan and on my own this time, upon arriving I asked for an easy pitch as I'm still not sure of reversing. The warden escorted me to the pitch on his bike and gave me directions and advice on reversing onto the pitch, helping me level my caravan and making sure I was happy before he left me to it. All this at about half past seven at night when he should have been going home with his wife. I cannot fault anything about this site or the people that work there and will definitely use it again for a longer stay next time.  Thanks to everyone at Rookesbury for making my stay an absolute pleasure.

Great site

Hi we stayed here for 16 nights at the start of the school holidays and had a great time. The park is set in a forest setting with loads of great tracks to explore and a great children's playground next to the forestry car park.the closest village is wickham with a small selection of shops pubs and cafe's which covered everything you may need for your stay.while here we visited the historic dockyards at portsmouth which is a fabulous day out and as your ticket is valid for a year you can visit again and have another day out as well also worth a visit is gunnferry wharf an outlet shopping area next to the dockyard,Southampton is also a good day out as are Winchester,Chichester and further afield Brighton lots to do in the area from walking, cycling and just relaxing.then site facilities as always were great and are a credit to the wardens who all do a great job will be visiting again thank you rookesbury park for a great summer holiday

Hampshire bliss!

A great sight not too far from the M27 and treasures of Portsmouth Maritime and other gems to be found in the area. The site is extremely well kept and the wardens do a fabulous job.  They can also be extremely helpful if you have any problems with your van. I have one small criticism regarding children in bikes and scooters who insist on using the roads as a race track.  If it hasn't happened before I'm sure that eventually one of the little darlings will collide with either a car or one of the caravans causing damage. Where does the liability lie with such an event?  I ask after having had a couple of close calls during our two week stay.  Will the caravan club foot the bill as they don't seem or want to control these activities.  By the way there is a large play area for children to use. Overall a fabulous site, super facilities and great location.

Second visit - summer holiday

Second visit to this site - came last year in August. This year there seemed to be some plumbing issues with one block of the ladies toilets where they kept blocking and almost overflowing - this was not rectified one evening after letting the warden know and by morning were in a poor state with only 2 cubicles usable. Many people walked their dogs off the lead on the way to the dog walk and did not always clear up after them. The barrier on the site does not allow you to leave before 7am if you have a non ferry pitch, so difficult to head off early if you have a long drive.  We do like this site but with the changes made it was not as good as last year.

last minute stopover

We bought a used caravan near this site, but did not have time to get it home that day. We usually stay at CLs and prefer the quiet beauty of many of these, and the lower price! The salesman said he knew about a nearby site and we could try it, so we did. We turned up, expecting a CL. We were welcomed and assisted with handling our new "baby". The toilet block was (unsurprisingly perhaps) the best we have ever seen anywhere. Our neighbours were helpful and patient with us. We would have no hesitation in stopping over at this site again. And the cost was rather less than we would have had to pay for bed and breakfast!

Another fabulous visit to Rookesbury Park

We've just got back from 11 days at Rookesbury Park; our second visit to this site. Again, as before, we weren't disappointed. Despite being very busy, the site is very clean and really well maintained by the wardens; a credit to their hard work on a daily basis. On the day of our arrival (Monday 1st August), we had problems with the electricity tripping out at the post. Despite the rain, the warden was cheerful and incredibly helpful in diagnosing the problem for us (it turned out that it was our water heater, just pulling slightly too much power as it heated the water from cold, so we transferred over to gas before switching back after it was heated up). The perfect site to explore the central south coast and across to the Isle of Wight. We'll be back again! Our huge thanks to all the wardens on site.

First time with a caravan.

As this was our first time Caravaning we were unsure as to pitching and set up. We carefully picked the site and were not disappointed. Set up was easily achieved on a level hard standing and any concerns were answered by the pleasant and helpful lady in the reception. Beautifully clean and well managed, we enjoyed our short time there and will return. It is only a couple of miles from our home but has the peace we like.
