exceptional site

This was the first site we have ever stayed on and our first trip in our new motor home.  The site was brilliant, the staff were friendly and the facilities were excellent  plus great dog walks.   Other sites will have a lot to live up to!  Will definitley be back soon.

Perfect break

Great site friendly staff plenty to do walking/cycling on the hills, country houses and castles to view great sandy beaches near by and one of the best dog walks. Enjoyed my stay and look forward to returning

exceptional site

The situation and layout of this site is very good. Easily accessed, very quiet with incredible dog walks. Due to the river and other areas of water I would not be keen to take youngsters to this site. The site facilities are very good and the wardens Alwyn and Tony are "simply the best"

Lovely peaceful site

loved the site peaceful quiet , very handy for Lindisfarne, Alnwick and lots of other places. we will definitely be going again. It is great having a site that has such lovely walks actually on site . we were lucky and privileged to see a red squirrel right outside our caravan and a red deer as we walked round the site. the wardens were lovely friendly and very helpful.

Bit of a let down.

We booked and stayed for 6 nights but stayed 5. The flies from the lake and Council recycling depot next door were a nuisance, along with screaming children riding bikes and scooters despite the many signs to the contrary. The toilets were unpleasant at all times of the day, but this was probably due to the clientel despite the wardens best efforts. Probably will not be staying again. As a Club site this was disappointing.

Relaxing Weekend.

We've just returned from another relaxing weekend at River Breamish. This site has most of the facilities you would expect from a Club site, clean toilets and showers, well kept pitches and one of the best dog walks on the network. The staff are friendly too. It's a great site for a short getaway or use it as a base to visit the rest of Northumberland.

Autumn glory

Just returned from six nights here. Friendly staff and peaceful site. Sensible closure times for toilet block and spare cubicles that can be used during closure - what a sensible idea. Great location for exploring the northeast and beautiful countryside. Fish and chip van a great bonus even if not so good for the waistline! Definitely a site we will return to.

Cracking Beamish

This site was a pleasure to stay on. The location was excellent for all the local tourist spots. The pitches are large and each van has plenty of space. It was quiet but there was plenty of grass for the kids to play on. The toilets and showers were lovely and clean and as always the showers are large enough not to get wet when dressing. The river beamish was just at the rear of the site and there was a lovely walk just a few yards away from the river were their was plenty of wildlife including dippers and kingfishers. We had a lovely time, the staff were very helpful and I can't wait to go again. What a lovely part of the country. Try it you won't be disappointed .
