Stunningly beautiful

A great site with an excellent layout of roomy pitches. Warden very friendly and helpful, the sanitation facilities always clean, warm and tidy. Good walks nearby to Ingram and up into the Cheviots following Neolithic forts and settlements trail - stunning scenery. A quiet peaceful stay. And don't forget the fish n chip van on Mondays - beautifully cooked fish in light golden batter with propa chips, one of the best fish  suppers I've had for a long time!

Fantastic location

What a fantastic site, With more than adequate pitches. The facilities are cleaned every day to a high standard, Pleasant wardens who are happy to help. There is plenty of information available for days out in the information room.

Great site, but kids left to run wild

We always start our season at River Breamish. The new wardens are friendly and welcoming and the toilets as always very clean. It appears that caravaners are happy to let their children run wild. On numerous days young children were left playing unsupervised at the edge of the deep water lake in the woods, near the deep water signs. There will be a terrible accident one day. Children are again running around the shower block swinging between the shower cubicles and sliding along the wet floors. Another accident waiting to happen. Families need to be aware of what their kids are doing

Good site

Flat level site with ample facilities for Motorhomes and Caravans. Interesting nature walk and useful dog walk area near river. No barrier for security. Petrol Station half a mile on main A690. Very quiet except for birds of every shape and size doing the dawn chorus at the Nature Reserve at the side of the campsite. Video of the Campsite - https://youtu.be/lFlbb91hGqE

A really nice site.

Our first time in this part of the world, and we found this site to be very well-located to visit lots of local attractions, including National Trust houses, castles, coast and countryside. The usual very good facilities on site, and very pleasant wardens. We will be back!

Early season mid week stay

Very hospitable wardens. Nice friendly clean site with plenty of domestic facilities. Shower block is very well presented. Good site for dogs with plenty of walking facilities & red bins.  A good night's sleep (but it was early season & mid week).  Will definitely stay again if the opportunity arises.

Well worth a visit

We stayed one night in a Motorhome. Perfect for peace and quiet except for the noise of hundreds, if not thousands, of birds of all sizes and types from the Nature Reserve behind the site. For perfect quiet select a pitch as far away from the reserve as possible and you really will appreciate what this site has to offer. Good dog walking area and paths nearby for on-lead walking. https://youtu.be/lFlbb91hGqE

4 Days of peace

I made a good start to my stay at this site I arrived a day early, Luckily there was a spare pitch. I found the site to be a perfect base for me to explore the North East, Newcastle, Berwick, Morpeth, and Whitley Bay. Just some names I had heard but never seen, Now I Have. And I did not feel let down.

Nice site .

Just returned after a two night stay trying out our new van. The site itself is in a lovely location and access is easy. Large pitches with lots of water/waste sites. the only gripe I have is the female warden who is not the most chatty, or approachable I have met. Each to their own I suppose. All in all we had a great two days, we will return.
