Stayed here last week and had a great time, friendly and helpful wardens, possibly the best dog walk of any CC site and good facilities.
the fish and chip van provided good value for money and very tasty, a supermarket albeit a bit pricey at the end of the lane was handy for those bits you forgot when in town.
The site was lovely and peaceful and well maintained, the facilities nice and clean. There's not a lot for kids to do here apart from ride bikes around or play ball games or similar up in the small play field. We loved our stay here and will be returning next year to get round a lot of the area we missed on this holiday.
Great Location
We were able to choose from a number of pitches and out pitch was really good with good space and a large grass area just for us. The on site dog walk is excellent and just along the lane there is a large lake also with a good circular dog walk around it.
The facilities were up to the usual CC high standards. The site is ideally located to visit the area. Be careful if you park in Alnwick, I did not notice that you require a parking disk and it cost me a £25 fine!!!!
Peace and Quiet
Have just returned from a week at this peaceful, well-run site. The facilities are excellent and maintained to a very high standard - Thank-you Wardens!! The location is convenient for all attractions and the beautiful Northumberland coast and the site ideal if you just want to get away from it all.

Dull Breamish
Excellent site facilities, alas we found the caravan park bland, dull and overgrown.Apart from the facilities the only thing going for it is the geographical location to other attractions.Could do with brightning up with maybe lots of flowers (there isn't any)and maybe lighter coloured hard standing pitches.Oh and more sight lighting.

One of the best sites we've stayed on
We have just spent a week here and found the site perfect for a stay in Northumberland. It's just 20 mins from Alnick, a very pretty town with all you need, not too far from Bamburgh, the islands,Berwick and Hexham. There are also some lovely walks along the river Breamish and around the lakes close by.
The facilities are very clean and spacious, pitches are a good size and the stewards are extremely helpful and friendly. If you have a dog you don't have to get in the car to take them for a walk either.
Really enjoyed our stay thanks
Lovely Site
Very helpful wardens with our big outfit, very clean and well kept. Brilliant walks on and off the site with hides available to watch the wild life. Definitely will be using it again, lots more to visit in the area.

Facilities a delight
Spent a delighful 2 nights at this site. The weather was kind therefore able to take advantage of the various footpaths in the surrounding area. The site is a bit remote if you don't want to use motorised transport but for our short stay this was not a problem. There is a great dog walk and our big one learned she could swim! I would however agree that there were some noisy dogs in residence which could disturb the peace. Also the site is next to a working depot of some kind where there was some noisy activity during the day but any noise seems worse than it probably is because the site is for the most part so peaceful. The facility block was a joy - modern, bright, spotlessly clean and well appointed. An example for all sites to aspire to.
Best facilities ever
Had a fantastic weekend at Breamish best facilities I have ever experienced staff fantastic river and dog walk also fantastic will return again and again
Short weekend stay
Lovely site central for area attractions, such as cragside, Alnwick etc. 5* facilities of showers, potwash and laundry. Pitches well positioned and not regimented with plenty of room between neighbours. Definately be returning.

Lovely Holiday
We have just returned from a lovely, peaceful holiday at River Breamish. The facilities and site were maintained to a very high standard, the wardens were helpful and cheerful. Only one down side some visitors had several dogs which can be a nuisance, the caravan club should consider limiting each caravan to a maximum of two dogs rather than a pack. This seems to be a problem at many sites.
