Quiet and relaxing spot

Had a lovely 7 night stay here on a fully serviced pitch. Hardstanding pitches spaced out nicely. Easy hook up to mains electric, water and waste. Friendly helpful staff. Covid measures gave complete confidence. Easy walking distance to the local dog friendly pub (Hare & Hounds - 200 metres). Dedicated dog walk through the adjacent woods. Easy vehicle access to nearby villages and towns of Honiton, Sidbury, Sidmouth, Beer, Seaton etc. Could do with repairing a couple of pot holes just as you turn in towards the site, but no major issues. Will definitely visit this site again.

Lovely location

Booked in for 10 nights in October. Excellent access to the site and check in arrangements good. Only hardstanding pitches open due to the heavy rain the weekend before which suited us. Hardstanding pitch was very level and of a good size. The wardens were very friendly and helpful and the site and facilities were immaculate. Although the site was fairly busy we never had to queue and the toilet blocks were lovely and warm. Really good location and we visited the lovely town of Sidmouth, Beer, Charmouth, Budleigh Salterton and Exmouth, all within easy drive. The Hare and Hounds pub is just up the road and they do a really excellent carvery and really good value for money. It's a shame there is no site wifi but not the end of the world. Will definitely visit again!

Fantastic Wardens and a great site.

The site is woodland site and is very pretty. The condition of the site was excellent with fantastic and very clean toilet blocks. Mandy, Sue, Peter and Audrey were fantastic wardens and could be seen keeping the place right and looking after everyone. I would certainly recommend, there are many places to visit within a very short distance and the countryside is lovely as is the coastline. the walk over the cliffs to Beer is well worth doing but take water and oxygen!

one night away

Our 1st night at Putts Corner and our 1st time away in this new covid world a little anxious about how things work out but all systems seemed to work and followed by fellow campers. Thankyou wardens for your hard work. did hear some road noise at night but not an issue. Had to cut short stay due to family ill health so only one night rather than 2. HOPE TO RETURN 2021

Delightful!

This was our 3rd visit to Putts Corner, and it never fails to impress. Upon arrival, the booking in procedure was warm and welcoming. The band system was clearly explained, and the warden even highlighted available pitches for us on the plan. So different to Hillhead where we had just been. The site itself is delightful.. Lots of trees, which looked lovely in the autumn sunshine, with a modern and well maintained toilet block. Sidmouth itself is unspoilt and worth spending time in, but we would mostly recommend the walks around Beer. Park in the cliff top car park, and walk west towards Branscombe. Absolutely beautiful!

Ideal Location & Well Organised Site

This was our first time at Putts Corner and pleasantly surprised. The toilet block is quite new & spotlessly clean and spacious inside. I didn't have to queue at all for the showers, although my husband did have to once. Perfect location for Honiton & Sidmouth and we went to Budleigh Salterton on 2 occasions (14 miles). We had amazing weather for our stay and had a great large level pitch tucked up in the corner (we have a VW Camper). There is a dog walk on site (but this runs alongside the road through the trees), if you're dog is a bit more adventurous out of the gate to the right is a walk in the woods & beyond. When we went out on one of our days, despite people being told no arrivals before 1pm there was a queue of caravans into the site and along the main approach road (one was blocking the road), unfortunately there were 2 caravans trying to leave @ 12pm and couldn't get out of the site due to the ones arriving early. If people could just abide by the rules at this time, it would make the wardens & visitors lives so much easier

Really Attractive and Well Kept Site

We have stayed several times at Putts Corner, July and September this year. The Wardens are really efficient and pleasant people, with a nice welcome. The site is very attractive and the facilities, both blocks are kept very clean throughout the day. The Wardens are very cheerful and hard working despite this year’s difficulties. There are many lovely places to visit from this site. We hope to go back next year.

A decent site well located.

Arrival at the site was easy using Gamrin camper satnav though lack if signage caused me a momant of concern as I turned into the road leading to the site from the Hare and hounds as it looked narrow. Pitches were in short supply when I arrived - the grass pitches were all sloping and the remaining white pegs were under trees adjacent tot the road. Not a big issue but we didn't benefit form sun in our 3 night stay. I was quite surprised that a number of white peg, awning pitches, were more likely to be classed as non-awning on other sites. There was a definite discrepancy between those opposite in the width. In fact it would be impossible to get a car, caravan and awning on the pitch we were on. Ok for a motorhome. I'm not sure why this would be; it's as if the pitches should be non- awning but a decision has been taken that it attracts more bookings if they are allocated as awning pitches. Site location is great though would suggest a car is essential if in a largish motorhome; Sidmouth is very close as is Honiton. Plenty to see and do in the area as long as you aren't looking for razzamatazz.

Best wardens ever

Arrived on site and had good choice of pitches Site really well cared for.Unfortunately we had to cut our holiday short as I became ill. I would like to say a big thankyou to the wardens Audrey and her husband who went out of there way to help us. Nothing was to much trouble for them. Wish we had more dedicated wardens like these two

Really well run site

We stayed here just before the August bank holiday and found it very well run with good facilities, the staff were all helpful and hard working meaning a well presented and well run site. Although extremely busy the facilities were not mega busy and we didn’t have to queue much at all. Nothing was too much trouble for the wardens even when a caravan owner was unable to release their hand brake they managed to assist without complaint. Overall a site that we would be happy to visit again sometime.
