Lovely little site

Stayed here 5 days ago. Lovely little wooded site. Spotlessly clean and we'll maintained shoer/toilet blocks. Wardens friendly and helpful. Good location for touring around the area. From Exeter and Honiton, and down to the coast from Exmouth to Lyme Regis. Quiet and peaceful definitely a site to recommend.

Pick your pitch carefully!

This site in such a fantastic place to explore the area - everywhere is just a 15/20 minute drive away. The site itself is up to CAMC standards however the layout is probably not our favourite. It is VERY foresty and so if you like a bit of sunshine then I suggest you pick your pitch very carefully as only a few see sunlight!

Lovely site

Fabulously clean and what we would expect from caravan club facilities. The walk to the pub also makes this site one of our favourites. Along with the friendly wardens. The only drawback is its distance from Sidmouth. But we would definitely go back.

Good site

Our first time here, treated ourselves to a serviced pitch. We made the "mistake" of arriving on a Friday , as our stay was part of a 5 week tour, and there was only one pitch left, which was rather narrow for our car/caravan/porch awning, others certainly looked wider. Wardens were very welcoming and helpful, facilities were very clean. Some road and aircraft noise, but we were far enough from the road for it not to be a concern. The other downside of arriving on a Friday in June was that all the nearby towns were extremely busy, being a weekend, and it was almost impossible to stop and park anywhere. Next time, we will be sure to go midweek!

Lovely site

I have recently returned after a holiday with family. Putts Corner CC is a lovely site, kept so well by the Wardens. Toilet blocks spotless, and the site well maintained. The site itself is 20 minutes drive from Sidmouth, where there is ample reasonably priced parking (although at times this is often full, but there is usually a high turnover of cars so it doesn't take long to find a space). Very easy access from the site to Beer 20 mins (lovely seafront/plenty of seating to watch the world go by, and cliff walks/quarry caves where you should be sure to take a jacket ... constant 7C temp all year round), Seaton 25 mins (quieter than Sidmouth, SUP-boarding, lovely seafront, don't miss the Tramway!), and Lyme Regis (maybe 30 minutes). There's a big Sainsbury's and other small shops including a Boots chemist in Ottery St Mary, 10 minutes down the road, and lovely river walks. Honiton (20 minutes by road) is a lovely market town with a host of little shops/cafes/pubs, and the local train station. Torquay is easily accessible by train on the Riviera Line from here via Exeter) and the return ticket costs around £12 (from memory). For about £15 you can get a Devon Ranger ticket for the day, and travel where you want all day in Devon!! Exeter is 30 mins away by car, with a good park and ride system well signposted on the A30. Beware if you are relying on bikes for transport, there are some fairly steep hills from this site to the surrounding areas. We had a slight health issue on site whilst we were there, and the Wardens were absolutely marvellous. All in all, a first class site and well worth a visit! 😊

First visit

This was our first visit. It is a lovely site and the wardens were very helpful. It is in a ideal location for visiting many locations in Devon. We did not try the dog walk as it was quite muddy. The weather was not great on our visit, but we would definateley stay there again in the future.

Nice week

This was our first visit to Putts Corner. The site was very well maintained, and everything spotless as you expect on Club sites. Our only disappointment is that people do not actually read the guidance notes given to everyone when you arrive. In it, it asks that other caravanners refrain from walking across other members pitches. At the top end of the site we had the members from five caravans and motorhomes opposite continually walking across our pitch to the services. Other than that we had a lovely week and visited many places in that area

Pleasant Week

This is the third time we have visited Putts Corner over the years. The site is well located for a wide range of nice places to visit and a wide range of walks. The local roads south of the site can be narrow so beware. All of the seaside towns are worth a visit. The beaches are often shingle with some sand at low tide. Access from the A30 is fine with a climb up from Honiton. Dog walking is available in the surrounding woods. Pitches vary in size and are well maintained. Toilet blocks have bench seats in the showers rather than the white stools. Whilst the site can be very quiet it’s on the flight path to Exeter Airport and the road past the site is a local rat run. The pub is an easy walk and very good. Great place to stop.

Great site

Second time at Putts corner the last one was 8 years previously. Lovely clean and quiet site other than the slight noise from the nearby Road. Currently on a service pitch in a very hot spell of weather. Unfortunately the pitch has no shade which may suit some and not others but the pitch is plenty big enough for a swift 645 twin axle, awning and disco sport. Great to have a pub and bus service within an easy 5 min walk from the sight and the wardens have been very polite and helpful without being in your face like some sites. Toilets and showers very clean and covid precautions being adhered to. All in all a very pleasant and peaceful site
