Amazing site

We stayed there for 4 nights in May and was really sad to go home. It’s the most peaceful site full of grass, trees and bushes. The toilets and shower blocks were spotlessly clean, as was the bin area etc. Staff were absolutely lovely. Perfect location. We will definitely stay there again - the perfect site!

A superb stay at Putts Corner

We recently spent a short weekend break at Putts Corner and had a superb stay. Site wardens were incredibly friendly and made us feel very welcome, offering ideas for places to eat and things to do. Most of the pitches are level and all are spacious. Toilet/shower block is spotlessly clean. Local pub (Hare & Hounds) is just a short 5-10 minute walk through the woodland access from site and offers a lovely daily carvery together with traditional pub menu. Great location for visiting the East Devon coast and market town of Honiton. A big thank you to all site wardens for such a warm welcome - we will definitely be back soon!

disappointing

The site is very well maintained by the staff who are very friendly. The down side the road is narrow to get to the site and with our 18 foot caravan quite tight. We found the service pitches too close together and felt like you were on top of each other. Also they were all on a sideways slope. Due to traffic we arrived just on 3 pm due to traffic and only one service pitch was left on the end. This was very tight to get our van on. To park our car beside it we had to go on half the grass. There was not enough room to put our awning up that we paid for as there was a high bank on that side. My wife is severely disabled with spinal damage and found the slope of the site awkward to walk too far on. I doubt we will return to this site.

Great overnight stop

This is a lovely stop off on my way home from Cornwall. The site is clean & well laid out. Just be aware that when driving around to select your pitch, it is one way. On my recent visit the exit barrier was left up so I had no problem going round for another look. Previously I had held up others as I had to stop at the barrier & run to reception to ask them to raise the barrier, which made me feel I'd inconvenienced those stuck behind me. Excellent pub just 10 minutes walk through the wood which is very dog friendly - she was given a sausage from the carvery!

Fantastic Site.

Decided to try this site and so glad we did. It’s so Close to Sidmouth and Seaton. Clean and tidy site, Wardens friendly as usual; never had any difficulties with any Wardens ever. Sainsbury’s just down the road at Ottely St Mary and Aldi and Lidl in Honiton. The site is great for birdwatchers, with around 15 species spotted on our bird feeders including Nuthatch, Goldfinch, Siskin, Bluetit, Coaltit, Chaffinch etc. Lots to do around the area, with many beautiful villages and towns. Good pub Hare and Hounds only 400m from the site. Recommend using the woodland path to it it’s much quicker than walking round! Great value carvery and very friendly staff. Will try and return soon.

Just great. Thank you.

We have stopped at this site overnight on several occasions on route cross country from home in west Cornwall and enjoyed it on each occasion so promised ourselves that we would come back for longer, but it has been a busy year to find a booking on such a popular site. So we managed to do so in the last week of October and had a wonderful time. Lovely friendly helpful wardens and first class facilities. The site is very well kept and really sheltered from the winds. A good hourly bus service into Sidmouth, Honiton and Exeter from the Hare and Hounds just a short walk away up through the woods (max 10 mins). We loved it and had a really relaxing time and hope to be able to book again next year. Thank you, have a good winter, we look forward to seeing you next year.

Very clean and well maintained site.

First visit here and we found it to be a very clean site, bins were emptied, showers and toilets were very clean and well maintained. The site is well looked after and the staff were friendly, we would certainly stay here again. Handily placed for visits to several coastal towns, Sidmouth, Seaton and Lyme Regis are all close by. Beware there are some very narrow roads in the area so don't just follow the Satnav plan your route. We managed to avoid them when towing but used did go down some with just the car. The site is in the flight path to Exeter airport but not many aircraft around when we were there, holiday season might be a little busier. The only thing wrong was the weather on the first couple of days! But that's the UK.
