Lovely visit

Just had a lovely bank holiday stay at poolsbrook our favourite site ,wardens very nice and helpful they do a great job ,only to be spoils by ignorant people not cleaning up after themselves ,toilets and dish washing area ,is it too much to wipe area down after washing pots ,and to use the loo brush after yourselves ,it would help the wardens and is common decency for other users, the site is one of the best around well kept wardens always busy keeping the site in top condition .

What a fabulous site

Well as my title says what a fabulous site, it is spotless in everyway, well done to the wardens. It is in a great location, we cycled into Staveley, using the cycle path, it was only a mile away, so it is in walking distance, 2 minutes walk from the site and you are at the lakeside, which is great for having a picnic etc great for kids, great for all. Back to the site we will go there again, highly recommended. They only gripe we had was from the van behind us, we were on pitch 80 opposite the toilets, the couple behind us on pitch 85 decided that they were too lazy to use the footpath, so they walked through our pitch, everytime they need the loo. They had no regard for our pitch privacy. Will definately use the site again but on a different pitch.

Lovely Site

We really enjoyed our stay on this site. The wardens were lovely and the site very clean and tidy. The facilities are fabulous very modern and new. Our only gripe is not with the site or with wardens but the Caravan Club in general. Why they can't they introduce a rolling cleaning programme of the showers and toilets is quite shocking in 2016. These facilities closed between 10.30-12.00. Other sites we go to outside of the Club have a rolling cleaning programme which works well and can't understand why it can't be adopted. If it isn't then why can't the cleaning be done during the afternoon, very annoying for paying customers. We will be going back again soon.

At last!!!

We have been meaning to get to this site for 2-3 years, but work had always got in the way. However, we have finally managed to do so on this the last bank holiday in May and achieved our long held ambition. The site is well laid out and facility’s top quality which I have come to expect of the Caravan Club. The approach is a little daunting being through an industrial park, but don’t be put off because the site and park are delightful. The Caravan Club have invested wisely here.  It was very busy over the long weekend, but the wardens kept it all in good clean order and I for one couldn’t praise them enough. We can’t wait to get back again because there is so much to do in the area, we barely scratched the surface. The Chesterfield Canal is nearby with good walking along with a festival over the weekend that we were there, we attended and were glad we had, it was a lovely day out.  That night the boats were all light up and sailed down the canal to the delight of all that made the effort to walk and be there at 10 pm onward, what a weekend.

On the doorstep, but could be south coast

Living just 2 miles away, and knowing of Poolsbrook, one may think not..... but yes this is a wonderful site, with tendered flower beds, lovely spotless facilities, friendly, helpful wardens, spacey pitches, then outsite.... some 100yards is a great park for the children, with café, lake, wildlife etc. Well worth a visit....The sun was shining all weekend, and yes we have booked again.

Love this Site

Stayed overnight last week.  As usual a very clean and well kept site easy to drop off the motorway for an overnight stop.  Love the pub down the road that has great meals The Arkwright Arms - it has it's own website and they do have some great beers for those that are not driving.  As the site is in a country park it must be great for children too but as OAPs we find just walking around the park is enough!  We have spent longer on the site as there are lots of places to visit nearby - check out the info room - but as we are on-route to Scotland it's usually an overnight. Wardens as usual very friendly and work hard to keep site so clean and tidy.

Lovely Country Park

Clean and tidy site, which is what I expect from CC site. Staff friendly and helpful. Lots of lovely walks for dogs, and there were plenty on site. I walked miles! Shops in nearby town which is easily accessible. Will certainly return.

Spoilt by undisciplined children

The site is spotless throughout and is a credit to the staff. Unfortunately the well earned weekend break was ruined by unsupervised children, I know it's a "family" site but letting your children run riot while your chilling out is not on. Hopefully our next visit won't be spoilt.
