Really nice site with very helpful staff

We are just finishing a 6 night stay at the site with our new van. On arrival the warden helped us onto the pitch as we had a problem with the mover. Next day as we had been twice sold the wrong adapter for our tv aerial the staff helped us out with the loan of a tv lead until we got one the next day. Nice well kept site, serviced pitches are great near facilities. We will definitely be coming back as we weren’t particularly well whilst we were away and there is loads to see and do. Love the bakery van that visits too. Dogs liked the site as well. Weather was better the last few days than back home which was a bonus.

There will always be someone ready to complain or things do not suit

There will always be someone ready to complain or things do not suit - all we can say it is a superb site - the facilities on the county park first class; dog walks greatly supported and the beach just fantastic and this despite New Years Day being very very cold and rainy. Just try the site and make your own mind up.

shame about the shower block

friendly wardens, site immaculate, pitches large. Proximity to country park, beach and coast path perfect. The only thing that stopped it being a five star site was the condition of the facilities block, tired and worn, albeit clean

Excellent site - perfect for cycling

This was my third visit to the site and as usual with the Club sites, the facilities are excellent. The wardens work hard to keep the site clean and tidy including the toilet block which as with all Club sites, was spotless. The site is excellent for families or anyone new or taking up cycling after a break as it is so close to the cycle track. You can cycle for miles on flat, traffic free paths with superb coastal views and facilities in the nearby towns of Burry Port and Llanelli as well as Pembrey Country Park. Unfortunately, the people who pitched up next to me on my last day thought it was OK to walk across my pitch so their dogs could poo on the grass right in front of my pitch and again on the grass separating the two pitches! As there is a gate in the nearby corner of the campsite leading to a large grass area , this behaviour is inexcusable.

Little piece of paradise

We pay at least 2 or 3 visits every year and love the location. With 8 miles of beautiful, endless and mainly empty beach and the fab country park walks we love this site. Also, the coastal path walk and more recently, our new find of the Ashburnham Hotel restaurant in Pembrey all makes a great holiday break. Our only not so positive comment would be about the toilet block - a bit tired and ready for an upgrade and increase number of shower cubicles especially in the men’s block -some queuing. We absolutely love this area - all of the above and including Bury Port and harbour.

wonderful place to visit

second time we have visited. Great reception by friendly staff. we stayed through Storm Brian but was pretty sheltered from all the trees[making sure we did not park under one] Location for so many walks through woodland, open access land and the coast and a superb long beach dog friendly.

Really good site, ideal for walking and cycling - 5*

My wife and I visit Pembrey Park every year and have never failed to have a great time. It's a very friendly site with helpful wardens. The country park is right next door and is flat with good roads and trails including the Millennium Cycle Route - a superb ride along the coast. Walk through the park and within a mile you arrive at the most wonderful sandy beach which always seems to be quiet. A welcome addition is the newsagent who calls every day between 0900 - 0930hrs with a good selection of papers plus milk and juices. This is in addition to the baker's van who has a great selection of food. If that isn't enough for you Llanelli is about 7 miles away with all the shops you'll need! Thoroughly recommended.

Great Place to Stay

Permbrey is only 50 miles from our home, we stayed for 4 nights with our daughter and son in law and our beautiful grandchildren in two caravans. We use this site a lot because of the location and facilities and closeness to the country park. It is a delight to stay at this site, good pitches, clean and tidy facilities and great staff to ensure that your stay is as expected off meeting the clues standards. We felt there was a massive speeding issue with this site, with motorhome users being the main culprits, this site is magnificent for families and children, please allow them to play safe at all times and grow up without being threatened by speed. I would recommend this site highly for all types of caravaners.

Very nice site

We stayed here for 4 nights in our motorhome in early October. The site was not very busy when we arrived so it was no problem to find a level pitch in a nice position. The wardens do an excellent job of maintaining the site, and keep everything very clean and tidy. They were also very helpful with local information. There are excellent (and easy) cycling/walking routes within Pembrey Country Park, and along the coastal cycle route. The Sustrans route to the east of the site leads to Llanelli (and beyond) links with another route up into the hills. This is worth doing. Also worthwhile is a visit to Kidwelly Castle. This is ~7 miles west of the site, and was an easy ride . . . . although the route was not always very clearly signed for cyclists, and there were a lot of bulls and their calling cards along the paths through the fields. All in all a very nice site in a lovely location :-)

Lovely site especially off season

This was our fourth stay at this site and the wardens were friendly and welcoming as always. While all our previous stays had been during school holidays when this site can get very busy this was our first stay off season. It was really lovely and quiet with the beach and country park being virtually deserted. The cycle ride into Llanelli was as enjoyable as ever if a bit wetter and windier! This remains one of our favourite sites and one that we will certainly return to!
