This is a site in a stunning location, with super staff. Close to the country park and it's beautiful beach with easy access to the Millennium cycle route for perfect off road cycling.
However, the Club needs to urgently address the speeding/road use issues (vehicles and bikes), especially on the inner road past the toilet block where there are no speed bumps, before there is a serious accident.
Especially worrying were the children riding at very high speeds, some on high spec bikes, round the one way system the wrong way, with no regard (or use of any bike bells) for the safety of pedestrians, other site users or indeed themselves. The stretch of road without speed bumps, forms a loop with the outer road, and is therefore just too much of a temptation for young riders for racing - despite there being a much better option to do this on the newly opened National Closed Road Circuit, within the park and a few minutes ride from the site!
For the record, we are grandparents, and keen cyclists and we love to see children out on their bikes. However been nearly run down by them, on a regular basis, does not have the same appeal.
Great Site but its getting Tired!!
We stay at this site most years because its peaceful and has a great location adjacent to the country park.
However over the years there is a noticeable fall in the standard of the facilities.
The shower blocks are now in need of a major face lift - shower valves loose on the walls, water pressure very low, cubicle partition decorative / water proof coating breaking down, extraction not effective, shower blocks in need of general decoration / freshen up.
Outside - where the grass used to be cut twice weekly it now seems to only be cut when its grown very long causing grass clipping to bunch and be left to carry through the caravan.
Generally there seems to be a lack of "finish" to the site - not how it used to be!!
The staff are lovely, very helpful and care, so I can only assume there is a lack of funds available to the to do the job that needs to be done here.
Its a shame because these are the little thigs that tend to set the better caravan sites apart from the rest - this was an exceptional site but is now descending into ordinary at best.
Still has the country park though!!
A pleasant overnight stop
We arrived here at the end of a pleasant day touring in South Wales, having booked on telephone the same day.?it was quite wet and we unfortunately could only get a grass pitch as it was very busy..However it was a relaxing stay, despite the fact that it was school holidays. We only stayed for only the one night, due to the weather and the relative remoteness of the site.We did not visit the park itself.
For us the main thing was the price we had to pay. For what we got it seemed excessive, and would normally expect a hardstanding pitch with water , and possibly TV hookup, for the same price.
Fab Family Site
This site is wonderful - the wardens are so helpful and keep the place spotless. The location is perfect for exploring on bikes but it also has a great beach and activities for the children nearby. If you have a young family this is perfect for a long weekend.
not a quiet place for a break
we were glad to leave im afraid , barking dogs , people walking across pitch, showers need renewing.
places too far to get to,hotel round the corner very good and on last day a new pub opened just passed the hotel.
would be a nice touch to add wooden tables to pitches.we were near the road and the noise was awful.
we did feel the wardens could of had a quiet word with dogs owners.
we had three dogs ourselves but ours didnt bother anyone.
cant see us returning shame because the park and beach was very good for dog owners.
but that had a lacking of facilities ......one small place for coffee and the ski slop did not sell snacks and seemed to not care less if the staff serve you or not. very disappointed.

It was okay
This is not our favourite site, but was a typical CAMC site.. however shower blocks although clean need a face lift. We were lucky as we had a serviced pitch in the corner, we were not disturbed by dogs or kids on bikes... the location is good but you do need to drive everywhere. We stayed for 12 nights and were ready to leave.. just a bit disappointed..

Excellent site
This is one of our favourite sites. Well looked after and plenty of places for dog walking in the country park. The only one complaint we have is the water pressure, it’s definitely been turned down over the years and you’ll get wet quicker in a shower of light rain!

One of the best C&MC Sites but......
Having stayed on this site at Pembrey on many occasions, I must agree with comments made by members - 'nymton'' and 'mteam' - as I too fail to understand why and how dogs can seemingly dominate their owners! The latter behave as if their dogs are in charge, between dogs to defecate on other members' grass pitches and allowing dogs to bark with little control over the animals! Admittedly, the mess is cleaned up, but the grass is still soiled. I'm not 'anti-dogs, having owned two myself, but I do despair when 'Mummy's little pooch' rules the roost!
Secondly members invading privacy or pitch space seems to be the norm more often than not...they will even walk right by chairs and walk through two pitches! Not even as much as 'Excuse me!'.
When we joined the Caravan Club forty years ago, you respected other members' 'pitch-space'! It takes very little effort to respect other Club members and consider their right to enjoy the Club's excellent sites!
Pembrey has an excellent team of Wardens; indeed thanks for all that you do to help us enjoy the Site and the adjacent park land! Onwards and upwards!
Inconsiderate people
This site, location, pitches plus the weather this week was Perfect !!
Could not have wished for more apart from inconsiderate and ignorant people !
I myself have Dogs (love them) but to let them bark and just ignore them is just not right.
I think at least the site supervisors should intervene and just say it’s not relaxing to hear this all day long !!!!
I had two dogs opposite, two dogs next to me......barking crying and if another dog went passed they wanted to fight with it.!
Sitting outside in the sun was a nightmare! Also I think there’s people who like to slam their car doors several times just to make sure it’s closed also playing their music very loud great but I might not like their taste in music haven’t they heard of 🎧
I think I’m in luck.......yes they are leaving !! Result!!🤗🤗
Back to sunbathing ,reading and bbqs without having a headache !! Let the good times continue!
So guys just remember to be a little considerate of your fellow Caravaners 👍👍

Walking Across Pitch
Fabulous site and have been many times. My only grudge on our recent visit was that people were walking through our pitch as a shortcut to the toilet block even when we were sitting outside eating our meals. I found this very rude and intruded on our privacy. Members need educating on this matter.
