Happy days

This site is quite local for me. Used it as a test run for my Round the Coast of Scotland trip after Easter. Very welcoming staff and so helpful. As a solo female motorhomer I was so pleased to see the updated waste water disposal point. Hope this is something to see on all sites before long.

Half term week

Have stayed here every half term week for the last four years. The site is beautifully kept, and facilities are excellent, and it is quite peaceful. The Wardens are very friendly and helpful, and give us a warm welcome when we arrive. The location is excellent in that there is a small well stocked shop and fishing tackle shop by the bridge, and Horning and Wroxham are only a few minutes drive away, with shops, takeaways and restaurants. The north broads are all within easy travelling distance. It is one of our favourite sites.

Value for money

What a lovely site, really good & clean facilities, very friendly staff. I only booked this site so I could visit my Sister in hospital, but I will certainly return again for a longer stay.

Enjoyable Stay

My wife and I stayed here in our motorhome but only for 2 nights and right at the end of the season. We were one of only 12 vehicles on the park so had plenty of choice of where to park.  Even the though the site was getting ready to close the staff were happy and helpful and the site and facilities were in perfect condition. There is a very good information kiosk listing several walks and local facilities.  We'll be back next year.

A Norfolk Gem

What a wonderful site! From the moment we arrived we relaxed. Greeted by the wonderfully hardworking friendly wardens who always had time to talk to you throughout our week (15-22 Oct). Generous size pitches in a lovely autumnal sunny spot. The showers and toilet block were exceptionally clean and a delight to have heating in there too especially after a lovely hot shower. (no keep pressing a button to keep the water flowing either). The staff worked so hard to keep the site looking impeccable even at the end of the season  they were seen to be painting posts ( these little touches show how conscientious the wardens are to keep the site aesthetically pleasing for their members). I agree with other reviews that the only down side was the dog walk area which is spoilt by fellow members not scooping their dogs poop. No excuse take a torch if its dark! The site is perfectly situated for the broads villages and the coast alike only adding to a holiday on this site. Local nearby cafe, pubs were very friendly and good value too. Cant wait to return next year!

Broadly pleasing

We only stayed four nights but were well impressed with the site. The pitch is well maintained and the shower facilities excellent. The location is good for access to the broads and convenient for park and ride into Norwich. We would be very happy to stay again.

Great early autumn break

We decided at the last minute to take an early autumn weekend break and chose this site to visit, lucky for us the weather was exceptional. This is a lovely site, well laid out and so neat and tidy, the staff were very friendly and so welcoming. This is an ideal location if you want to be out and about visiting the Norfolk broads or if you just want to relax and walk the dog along the river banks. We did see the owl working the field opposite the site one evening as we walked to the pub where we only had a pint or two so can't comment on the food but it looked OK. This site is only an hour and a half away for us and we will certainly be returning a few times next year.

We Love Places like this

Having never been to the Norfolk Broads but loving water it was inevitable we would eventually visit the area. So glad we did and what an excellent base. From arriving a little early to when we left a week later we were made very welcome. All that is good and worth every penny by being in the caravan club is summed up at this site. Clean, well laid out, plenty of room etc etc location is ideal, river 200 yds to the left out of the gate (a well stocked shop, fishing tackle shop and cafe are there also), and a nice welcoming pub 200 yds the other way. Perfect end to an adventurous day if you have any energy left. Across the road keep an eye out at dusk and sunrise for the barn owls working the fields. A must location for wildlife enthusiasts like us. There are so many walks and so many places to visit within a short drive either in land or by the sea. The only dissapointment to me is caused by other members! not cleaning up your dog poo!! why not? the dog walk is very small and it is risky walking through there at night. No excuses lazy selfish people, its your dog take care of the business end. Thank you to all at the site hopefully see you next year.

Broads walk

Great site for a walk around the fields, near the river, you can nearly see it. The cycle ways adertised, were about 2 miles from the site, so not good with a 2 year old on a bike seat. Nice wardens and very clean site. Easy access to Wroxham.

Wonderful short break

We stayed for four nights at the start of half term week. The pitches were spacious and there was plenty of choice. Throughout our stay we found the wardens very welcoming & friendly and they maintain the site to the highest standards. Immaculate showers and toilets with an abundance of hot water. The site is very well situated for visiting the broads and the coast. Finally the carvery served at the nearby Crown for Sunday lunch was one of the best we've ever had. Looking forward to returning next year.
