Caravan Club at its best

Stayed for two weeks early August this year (2015) as a family of four (inc one teenager and 20 year old). Despite being very busy, facilities were immaculate, staff friendly and the whole experience at the site was exactly as it should be when the Club is at its best. The New Forest as always was fantastic for walking, cycling and cream teas.....

Can't wait to return

We first visited this site 6 years ago & were really looking forward to returning. The site is so well situated & the surroundings very pleasant. We chose a grass pitch which was really spacious & near all the facilities & perfect for our 5 night stay. We visited Poole, Bournemouth, Lymington, Lyndhurst, Bucklers Hard, Burley & had a lovely stomp through the forest. We were sad when we had to come home but will definitely be returning next season. Big thanks to the wardens who are friendly, helpful & do a great job of maintaining the site :)

August 2015

Wardens very friendly and helpful. Facilities were excellent and kept clean despite being busy. Very busy as it was school holidays, but enjoyable with it being a safe site for children.

Can't wait to return!

On arriving at his site we were a little worried that we had made a mistake due to it's size and the amount of children and dogs! We had no need to worry as the site is set out well and the pitches are spacious which makes the site feel alot smaller, the children had a great time at the play area and field and it is excellent for dogs as the forest is accessable from the site entrance. The site is easy to find from the A35 and ideally situated for visiting this part of Hampshire as well as the Dorset coast. We spent alot of time walking in the forest even spotting nightjars. We visited Beaullea, Bournemouth, Lymington and the new forest centre at Lyndhurst, we also visited the nearby reptile centre and the Bolderwood deer viewing area. I would also like to mention the wardens that worked so hard during this busy time and for organising the fun day which we all enjoyed. this was our first visit to this area and we can't wait to return!

Excellent break

This is the second time I have had a one week stay at this site and it is always an enjoyable experience. Clean, family orientated, generous pitches, clean and central location for loads of days out. Will be making it a two week stay next year.

August 2015

We spent the first week in August on this site and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. As ever Caravan Club sites are excellent. This site is in a prime location with easy access to all points of interest in the area. The staff are very helpful and friendly, the pitches are excellent, toilet and shower facilities top notch and well maintained. Great little club shop with various essentials, including the usual kiddies toys etc, and the usual caravan essentials including, toilet fluids, hookup cables and TV coax cables. The shop also stocks barbecue meats etc supplied by the local butcher in bransgore. A mobile fish and chip van visits on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 5.30 pm for those who fancy them. A great site to use as a base for everything in the area, or just to relax and chill out. Just a couple of negative points though, but don't let these put you off this lovely site. The TV reception isn't the best, so make sure you have a 15m coax cable to plug in on the hookup post, TV point supplied, unless you have a better aerial than I had, status factory fitted on van) mobile signal was dire (EE) can't vouch for other networks. There is wifi on site, but this was pretty poor too, maybe something the club could improve on. All in all one of the nicest club sites I've been on. Neil.

great for everyone

Very welcoming staff, keeping the site very clean, lovely area for biking, walking and seeing the wonderful area of the new forest. Our party were amazed with all of the horses off site having a stand off with transport, causing no problems at all. Driving out and about took fifteen minutes to nearest towns. Eating out is very nice, staff amazingly polite. Will be returning again.

High standard site

great facilities, nice shop, lovely grounds quiet, just recognise how far it is from local pubs and shops if you're in a motorhome. Great for cycling, nice ride down to Medford and close to New Forest trails

Big Site

Stayed here recently the biggest site I have stayed at so far with the club . Staff were friendly and helpful and facilities kept spotlessly clean at all times. Site consists of different fields, if you want the most peaceful then probably Spitfire and Liberator are best. Spacious pitches, good for walking and cycling. One tip avoid Lyndhurst if you can took 30 mins to get through better off travelling in from Ringwood. Will definitely be returning.
