Cat problem

We have just come back from a week at this site, which we have visited several times before. Unfortunately this time we had the inconvenience of pitching next to a caravan with a free roaming CAT!!!. The caravan had a cat flap fitted which while the owners were away for the day (everyday) the cat used this facility to tour the local area visiting other peoples awnings and generally annoying the other pets (DOGS) which were all under control, except the dog which broke free and chased the cat for several minutes around the vicinity which started all the dogs off in the area. Reading the club rules it says that all animals should kept under control at all times perhaps it should be made clear to cat owners that this is the rule and also those people who have dogs but do not obey the rules, because "their dog/s wouldn't hurt a fly or cause a nuisance".

A good wet week.

We are a family of 4 with 2 children aged 8 and 3. We had been recommended this site due to its location and it did not disappoint.  We travelled easily to Portsmouth and Bournemouth during our stay.  My husband and eldest son enjoyed a 19 mile cycle ride on mainly off road tracks whilst I nursed our youngest back to health following a sickness bug.  During this day I was able to make full use of the facilities on offer.  The washing machines and tumble dryer did their job on 2 separate occasions and I really could not fault the toilet and shower facilities either.  The infant room especially was very nice.  Our oldest made good use of the play equipment on site and did plenty of cycling around the site on the quiet and safe roads.  Staff were very friendly and helpful.  I would definitely recommend this site for anyone.

A Forest Adventure

A large, well kept site with excellent facilities. Pitches are a good size and although the site was always near full capacity while we were there, it never seemed overcrowded.  It is a good site for exploring the New Forest by bike. There is a route directly from the site or you can cycle just a short distance to Holmley Camping Site and pick up several routes.  We cycled to Burley and can fully recommend a cream tea at the Cider Pantry - best we've ever had.  For rainy days with a family, we had a great day at the Splash Park at Tower Park in Poole.  Best to book tickets on the Internet to avoid very, very long queues.  This was our first visit to the South Coast as we normally stick to the tried and tested South West. Although we did miss the rolling countryside, quaint villages and the surf, we did enjoy the numerous amount of places to visit and we were never short of things to do in this part of the UK.

enjoyable stay

Arrived on a wet and windy thursday but the wardens were very welcoming and full of smiles . Large site  but in a good location for visiting the area , left out of the site in about  half a mile is a lovely  walk in the new forest with the wild ponies along the way.not far ftom Christchurch Bournemouth and lots of little  beach side towns. We enjoyed crabbing  at Mundesley.  One thing i would like to see is people poop  scooping when they take their  dogs on the dog walk .i do and i think its only fair to other dog walkers as at night its difficult  to miss it!!! Other than that enjoyed  our stay would return.

Great location

This is our first time to this site. We spent the first week at Black Knowl then a week here. For us the location of this Centenary site was better, we had two of our Grandchildren stop with us and it was not far to the beaches and other attractions. The toilet blocks were very good always kept clean and plenty of them never had to queue. On our arrival we received a good welcome from the Wardens. We spoke to Robin and his wife on several occasions and they were always jovial and friendly. Would go back there again

One of our favourites

We visit this site at least once every year and are never disappointed, it's in a great location, the wardens are very friendly and helpful and the facilities are always clean and well maintained, even when the site is very busy. We'll be back!

Great Holiday

This is a great base to travel out and about in the New Forest,  Highcliff Beach beautiful sandy and we could take the dog which was a bonus.  The site is well maintained,  the toilet blocks were always spotless even when the site was full.  The wardens were great, cheerful and helpful.  All in all a great site and one we will definitely be going back to.

Great Site for Family

We spent 3 weeks here this August with the grand-children. This site really comes alive during the summer holidays. Our grand-children, visiting in two batches of 2, had a great time both on the site and on the beaches and forest nearby. What really impressed was the standard to which the site was kept despite being fully booked throughout our stay. What was really good was that the vast majority of visitors were sensible with their vehicle speed whilst on site. One demerit though, we were on 'Mosquito' and although occasionally we could see (on a smart phone, not i-pad or laptop) that the caravan internet existed it remained unavailable unless we walked down to the Centenary Garden - 3 weeks without the internet is not good these days.

Great Location for exploring The New Forest

Despite being a busy time of year, the site never seemed noisy or too busy. The toilet facilities were always clean and the staff friendly. There are lots of lovely places to visit close by. Lovely dog walking field for the dogs to run on site.

Lovely site

Lovely clean site with a great location for walks / bike rides. Great park for the kids and a lovely field for dog walking. At times was very noisy with a large number of unsupervised kids
