A good site, but be careful where you pitch

This is a very good site with a lot of pitches (and hence car and van movement). The pitches are a little tight and on some I can't see how it is possible to maintain the 3m gap between the car and the neighbours awning. We chose a pitch in the 230's which has the advantage of being much more spaced out (we have a VW T5 & long awning) but with the downside of considerable road noise from the road over the fence (which is the continuation of the one you arrive on). This road is busy and by our pitch there is a cattle grid that generates a lot of noise. So between a rock and hard place... Speeding is an issue on site as others have pointed out.. Someone will get hurt if caravans travel at 20-25 mph around the place. The layout of the site means that the traffic gets segregated at the entrance (Left or right) but the one way system can take you rather unnecessarily past other pitches. Facilities are excellent lots and lots of showers and all very clean (note: some showers were closed down for the winter season as we left). This is a good site but watch your kids if they are playing near the road. Would recommend

Tight Pitches

The pitch that we were on (No.113) service pitch was cramped, from the edge of the hard standing  to the next pitch which is on grass was within 2 feet of us, with a view of the next doors car, so kept awning curtains pulled. The area of which we were pitched in, all the pitches are mixed and could have been laid out better, compared to other areas which have a lot more space and made it less intrusive. As ever the wardens keep the site spotless and are extremely friendly, apart from one. We would like to visit again, but not sure if we would use a service pitch. As ever like all sites not everyone adheres to the 5 mph limit on site, the club needs to address this as someone is going to get seriously injured

Fantastic site

Wardens are really friendly and helpful. Fantastic dog walking areas on site and obviously ideal place for long walks in surrounding areas. Childrens play area is fantastic. Toilet blocks were spotless. We were on a hard standing pitch, which was great considering it rained for the duration of our stay. Location is lovely & peaceful but lots to do within a short drive. We love this site, 3rd time we have visited and will definitely be back.

Four Day Weekend Break

What a lovely site. The location that the club site is set in is ideal, as it is in the heart of the Forest. The site is kept to a very high standard. If you need a bus, the stop is outside the gate. My only criticism is not at the wardens or the club, but at certain members who disregard the speed limit and use the site road as a normal highway. There was a lot children playing on or near the roads. Accident waiting to happen!!

Centenary Site

Great location for New Forest. Really friendly and helpful wardens. Shower  block and facilities excellent. Never had to wait for shower to be available. Peaceful. Just a shame about our weather.

Such a lovely site

A fantastically clean, tidy and well laid out site. Perfect for families and the shower block facilities were spotless and staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely come again.

Centenary Site

Really lovely site and very helpful and nice wardens. Just a shame we cannot guarantee the weather! Will definitely be returning. We found the shower facilities and toilet blocks ample for everyone and absolutely spotless.

not your usual standard

Pitches are so small it's really hard to cram everything in. Wifi is so flaky, it's worse than useless. Always had to queue for showers, most unlike any other club site. Just too many people here for the facilities. Wardens are very nice though.

Excellent Club Site

Just returned from 14days at this club site had an excellent time close to Bournemouth and Brockenhurst etc. The forest is always interesting with lots of animals roaming. The only downside was we had a family next to us who had three dogs one was always on a lead another was on a lead most of the time and the last one was hardly ever on a lead, the one that was always on a lead was pegged next to the pitch marker on a 5m lead which meant we could not go out the front of our awning without a dog approach. We did not complaine as the stress is not worth the effort.
