New Forest Holiday

This is the first time we have stayed at this particular site and we were not disappointed. We stayed for 9 nights and made the most of the surrounding area and local pubs (The Three Tuns) was a particular favourite, if you like good food. The only downside was the large group of children that raced up and down the site on bikes and scooters especially during the evening without lights and helmets on. The site is close to lots of places of interest and we certainly found lots of picture postcard villages to stroll around. We would definitely visit this site again.

New Forest Site

Beautiful, peaceful site perfect for exploring the many walks in the area. Lots of good local pubs for food. Would certainly recommend this site. Also handy for day trips to the coast, with a trip to Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove highly recommended.

Great for families

We visited this site during August & found the site location central for the south coast attractions & the new forest. The site was extremely noisy with children riding bikes unaware of cars. We had to ask a parent to Stop playing round the caravans throwing a large rubber missile & use the playing field after a near miss to our outfit! I will not be returning to this site again. Not up to the cc standard we are used to. Very disappointed ??

Great site

This site was great for what we wanted which was lots of walks with our dog and good facilities. There were a lot of children on bikes who loved the roads through the site and as long as you watched for them it was fine. We were on Mustang which is a bit quieter. I did think the shower block could have been a bit cleaner and I noticed the cleaners here were contractors so maybe that's why. The wardens are so helpful and friendly. All round a great stay and we will be back.

Perfect For Families

New Forest Centenary Site is a perfect base for exploring the New Forest. Grass or hardstanding pitches all level enough to be easily sited. Shop on site with fresh morning goods and supplies. Bonus Fish and Chip van visits twice a week. Easy access for walking, cycling and a bus stop out side the front gate. Very child friendly so your choice to site near the play area ....or not! We've been twice now and it suits our family of three plus dog

Fine for families

my only real criticism of this site is the danger young children present riding bikes around at 20 mph (car rightly restricted to 5 mph). In the case of Liberator we had to drive through the Spitfire areas, which could have been avoided had the one way system not diverted us that way (unnecessarily in my view). Only adding to the potential risk of collision with children on bikes, who had thrown away the highway code with the new found freedom the site presented. They treated the site like a massive playground. I have 10 grandchildren so do understand what they are about. This site is an accident waiting to happen.

Falling standards ??

Having stayed at this site on a couple of occasion in the past, not during school holidays, I found that things were not like they normally are. When I asked if we could have another car on my pitch I was told it was not allowed, when clearly on two occasions I found it to be happening and when also knowing no tents are allowed there was at least one if not more alongside caravans. I notified the wardens but nothing was done. Toilets were not as clean as normal, this could be due to the number of people on site, but if that is the case then more regular cleaning should be carried out. I dont believe this site was up to the normal standards I expect from a CC site. I hope it is due to the time of year and standards have not fallen.

Relaxing Family Holiday in the New Forest

Booked 9 nights for our family of Mum, Dad plus 3 daughters (aged 5 to 8) and thoroughly enjoyed the site and the facilities. Great, good sized pitches, clean facilities and overall a very well maintained site by the numerous staff. The children loved the play park and the location is fantastic for local walks and bike rides around the New Forest. Along with our friends we are going to make this a regular stay at the start of the Summer Holidays.

Week in the forest

Excellent, clean, well maintained site. The wardens were very helpful and friendly, what a great idea to clean the toilets after dinner not in the morning allowing more time to use the facilities.  Just one down side was the fish and chip van, the food was taken frozen from the freezer and fried to order and not to mention a bit on the expensive side. Save your money and go to Sainsburys in Christchurch and you will get better quality and value for money.
