Our second visit as we like the area and wanted to re-visit. Everything was good - cleanliness, staff, shop, dog walk - but . . .
I like children having had three myself and umpteen grandchildren, but I was irritated by youngsters racing around on their bikes and scooters with no regard for anyone else. If parents could be reminded that they are responsible for their childrens' safety and asked to ensure their offspring behave courteously, I would have been a happier camper, but tripping over bikes left abandoned by the dog walk was not what I expected.
Well up to usual high C&M Club standards.
Facilities on this site are exceptionally good: washing/WC blocks, dog walk area, children's playground, pitches, shop etc. Staff very friendly and helpful. Location very good for New Forest walks and bike rides. A bit far from the nearest pub or restaurant, probably at least 45 minute walk but easy by car of course. I could not find an off road footpath to the nearest village and road walking a bit dodgy. There may be a safer path that I missed though. Handy for Christchurch and Bournemouth with all the events etc. A very popular site, deservedly so.
Excellent Site
Stayed here for 4 nights and were impressed with the facilities and the well run site.
Pitch size was adequate and close to facilities and reception.
Disabled shower room was well thought out and there were two available.
Two dog walking areas which were great to allow off lead exercise.
Everywhere was clean and tidy, fairly quiet apart from the constant cycling and scootering round of children.
Appreciated the lack of curfew! 24 hour access was available.
well what a site. best site by far.
well i must say that this has got to be the best site i have stayed on so far.
And as for the STAFF well you could not get such a nice bunch.
very friendly and and could have a laugh and joke with them.
best 2 1/2 week i have had nice and peaceful in the evenings. And to be able to access the site late at night after going places with no rushing back to a locked gate.
very clean and friendly site well worth the visit.
And will i go back there i most certainly will.
do i have any bad points about the site NO
about the staff NO
great site i will see you next year.
and one last thing the fish and chip van twice a week visits the site with good sized portions and taste nice
unlike some of the shops near by that charge more and taste awful.
Absolutely fantastic

Enjoyable visit, as usual, but....
We have visited this site in excess of 10 times over the years, so suffice to say we like it. The facilities are spotless, the wardens are great and work hard to keep the site in top condition. Our most recent visit was with our 7 year old twin grand-daughters who thoroughly enjoyed the Tourer Explorer trail and we spent a fair amount of time cycling with them around the site, improving their confidence on their bikes. The site was busy but my only criticism was with the parents of numerous teenagers who allowed them to cycle / race around the site with no regard to one way systems. I know it may sound jobs worth, but the one way system on club sites is there for a reason, safety, safety of drivers, pedestrians, cyclist and children. During the weekend we had several close shaves with other cyclists. The site is great and I thoroughly recommend it but please be aware of one way systems and the reason for them.
Even better than our last visit
This site is ideal for touring the NF. It is well run, well kept, with a wide variety of pitch types in several different areas. The facilities blocks are always clean with great hot showers. The pitch sizes are generous and even more of them than the last time we were here. Take your bikes, and cycle for miles enjoying the surrounding areas. Reception is well stocked with slightly higher priced general foodstuffs etc. It is very quiet at night. Highly recommended is the NF open topped bus tour, hop on/ hop off service with a bus stop at the site entrance. Have a day off from driving, and give it a whirl, you won't be disappointed.
The Forest escape
This is the second time we have been to this site the first time was when it first opened and a is still worth a visit set on a old WW2 airfield it is now well established since we first came. easy to get to Bournmouth, Poole, and Christchurch great market on Mondays in Christ church
Chill out few days
Had yet another fantastic visit to the site. Was greeted warmly by the warden who remembered us from our visit a few weeks before. All wardens very friendly and helpful. Deb even had my papers ready as I walked into reception one morning. Facilities lovely and clean and well maintained. Fish and chips on Saturday were excellent. Will definately be back. Members on site were very helpful, due to my husbands recent operation they helped with carrying water and taking out awning pegs and lifting awning into caravan, so thank you. Obviously weather made it even more special. Lovely just chilling on site . We will be back

An excellent site
As a newbie and only being the second time out in our campervan, this proved to be an excellent site. It's well situated within the New Forest and has first class facilities.
It's quite a large site, but well laid out and was relatively full during our visit.. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
The only thing we really missed were trees (rather than hedging) around the pitches, though to be honest it wasn't unexpected when looking at the photos. The bonus was a fish chip van visiting the site on Saturday evening!
Highly recommended, we certainly will return.
