great time, shame about the neighbours.

We stayed on this site for 20 days, which we have visited many times so we know how good it is, Due to my age and the distant we need to travel ,this will be my last visit. we well sadly miss coming here, we have many happy memories with our grandchildren staying with us on this site over the last 10 years. The site is in a great location for cycle rides , walking and visiting the coast . the wardens were so helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend the fish and chips which were the best we have ever had. Thanks to the wardens for doing a first class job looking after site and keeping it clean and tidy. The usual problems of some divers driving far to fast , although when you book in you are asked to keep below 5 MPH . Thank you for a great holidays. Mozza.

Fantastic area.

We have just returned from another fantastic stay at this site - it is well worth the long drive from Yorkshire! If the weather is right one of our favourite things is the cycle ride from Hengistbury Head to Poole Harbour and back, a total of 14 miles. It’s a lovely flat easy ride on the sea front, Bikes can be hired near the top of the pier at Bournemouth, although we used our own. The site itself is kept spotlessly clean, and the wardens are very friendly, and even though we didn’t need their assistance we saw them helping fellow caravanners/motorhomers on several occasions. The general area around is very picturesque, and the little towns around have plenty of supermarkets, or places to eat. We are looking forward to returning in the not to distant future.

Wow - Fantastic site

We stayed at the New Forest site for four nights last week, This has got to be the best Club site we have stayed on. Everything was pristine. The pitches were so well looked after - the whole site was beautiful. The wardens were all lovely and smiley - so friendly - really made our stay a complete pleasure. We are looking forward to our next stay at this wonderful site.

Our Favourite Site

After reading some of the reviews on here, I felt I had to write a review. The Centenary Site is, beyond doubt, our absolute favourite site, The way the site is divided into names of fighter planes, in dedication to the actual area it is located, makes for a very easy way of finding your pitch. We have been so many times now that we find we have stayed on every one of them and each has it's own delights!! The wardens have always proved to be tremendously helpful and always happy. They work incredibly hard throughout the season and I don't always feel that they get the credit they are due!! The toilets blocks are always spotless too, and please remember though that if they aren't it's because of inconsiderate campers, not the wardens!!!! This site is soooooo well situated, for both Flora and Fauna, we used to bring our dog, sadly no longer with us, and we would go off on all sorts of walks through the forest, never knowing where we were going to end up but we always managed to find our way back! The beaches of Bournemouth, and Boscombe plus many more, the Harbours of Lyndhurst, Muddiford and Lymington are all a short driving distance away, along with all the local villages are only a short drive away. This site really is so well situated with something for everyone at a very reasonable distance. BUT NOT TO BE MISSED IS THE ICE CREAM STALL IN BURLEY, ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE NEAREST TO THE LITTLE SUPERMARKET!!!! Burley with it's interesting little shops, cycle hire, rides on a horse and cart, donkeys and horses roaming free............... pubs. eateries, local fudge shop, local cider makers shop, what else could you possibly want???

Fab few days!

Had a splendid few days last weekend ..... the weather was dry, still and warm.....Just like the warm welcome received from the Wardens! The site was in superb condition and the showers and loos exceptionally clean! (Shame some members don’t leave them as they find them). The area is wonderful for walks, cycling or just relaxing. However, we were rudely awoken late one night which we later discovered were fireworks!!! Scary sound in a ‘tin can’ 🤣 at close range! Thank you for a great stay ....... Be back soon.

Great Location

It's only 45 minutes from home and we visit the Forest regularly, so know the area well. This is a huge site that was well maintained and spotlessly clean during our visit. We had a serviced pitch and pleased that everything worked as expected. It was interesting to see that the wardens were out preparing each pitch as fellow caravanners left to remove weeds and level the hardstanding. The toilet block was also spotlessly clean and warm with sufficient hot water and reasonable pressure (get spoilt with a power shower at home). Plenty to do in the local area for all ages with forest walks, towns large and small and the coast all easily reachable. One word of caution - nothing to do with the site, though. If you are approaching from the Lyndhurst direction, just before the right turn off the A35, there is a **MASSIVE** pot hole in the road of spring breaking proportions. Hampshire Highways know it is there as they have sprayed paint around the edge. Hopefully it will be fixed before the summer

Great base for walking

We stayed at this site over the half term week. The site was almost full but you wouldn't have known it. The facilities are ample and sited in great positions in the site. The play area and playing field and fenced in dog walk are some of the best I have come across. As it was Halloween the wardens made a massive effort to decorate the site shop and communial areas in Halloween theme brilliant. We also visited the three tun pub for Sunday roast and sat outside to eat it in October! Highly recommend. Also had lunch in the crown and an evening meal in the woolpack all in walking distance and lovely food and atmosphere. We will be back thank you for a great half term break.

Brilliant

First time to this site, sadly for only 3 nights, but loved it. Friendly and very helpful staff. Excellent dog exercise area for our heinz 57 to let off steam before and after exploring the forest (she never tires!). Love the electric Gators quietly going about their business. Very clean and well maintained shower block. Have absolutely no complaints and will most certainly be returning next year and marking this as on of our preferred sites.

Fantastic Site

We have just spent 6 Nights at this site and found it to be peaceful, clean, welcoming and excellent value. We walked or cycled each day from the site using a leaflet purchased from the office, using quite roads or cycle tracks. The café at the station in Homesley has excellent cream teas and is not to be missed, you can walk or cycle to this from the site, about 3 miles, using the forest tracks. Phone signal and 3G not fantastic, but you can use it sometimes and I think some pitches better than others as always! Not the sites fault just the lovely area you are in! Bransgore has a small co-op which again you can walk to but this takes about 1 hour each way, it is about 3 miles on a road with a footpath. The quicker route does not have a footpath and is not advisable (we did it on a Saturday afternoon and it was dangerous!). We will be back.
