Autumn visit

Just returned from a long weekend visit to Moreton in Marsh CC site. What a lovely site, wardens where great and the site is perfectly positioned for a stroll in to Moreton. The site is very clean and peaceful and idea for exploring the surrounding area with good access to local main roads. Will most definitely be visiting this site again. THANKS TO ALL THE WARDENS FOR KEEPING SUCH A GREAT SITE

Lovely site

Had a lovely stay, site and area very dog friendly, clean and friendly. Close to town and plenty of buses to explore local area. Just a little tip......before you park up check where the sun (if there is any) is. We parked in the shade of the trees by mistake. Our own fault though!

Great Site

Very nice, very clean site, friendly staff and a great location to access Moreton In marsh with a 10 minute walk. Buses and Trains appear frequent and access is easy to both.

a sudden break

Having booked on thurs, arrived on sunday could not believe our luck with the weather. Site was clean and tidy (as always) Staff are brilliant. Our little Cock  a Poo Benson looked forward to seeing the lovely Ladies in reception every morning when we collected our paper as they treated him to a biscuit and made a fuss of him. Thank you. We all enjoyed a very relaxing week once again at Moreton. Looking forward to going again next year.Maurie Marilyn &Benson

lovely autumn break

Lovely clean site, friendly wardens, in fact everything we have come to expect from a club site. A lot of motor-homes on the site, presumably due to its close proximity to the lovely Cotswold town of Moreton-in-Marsh (approx 5 mins walk) and the bus stop right at the site entrance to take you to Stratford-upon-Avon. Lovely site for dogs, large fenced field for them to run in and also noticed several of the pubs and cafes in town were welcoming dogs. Returned home via the M6toll and as advised by a fellow caravanner, paid a substantially reduced fee on presentation of club membership card, a bonus we had not previously been aware of. Hope to return before too long.

Moreton in Marsh: a site of two halves.

Quite a big site but definitely in two sections, to the right of the gate there is more tree cover, to the left is larger but more open. We found the open side a great advantage as we were there at the time of the lunar eclipse and got a great view(at 3am), and the view of the stars was good too, there not being too many artificial lights around. The weather was extremely kind while we were there, despite early morning fog and we were able to walk across the fields to explore Batsford arboretum and enjoy a reasonably priced 'home cooked' lunch in the cafe. One word of warning. While the walk across the fields is levelish and easy to follow, be wary when you reach the road to the aboretum itself. There is no designated footpath, and the road is edged by fence. You need to be aware  of the traffic as there is a constant flow of vehicles entering and leaving, sometimes at the same time! We also visited the National Trusts Chastleton house, off the Oxford road. This Jacobean building is unique in that it has remained in the same family for four hundred years and is little altered. Maintained rather than renovated, and the location for the filming of some bits of the recent TV series, "Wolf Hall". Each room has a useful information sheet, and the room guides were full of stories too! The garden had some very interesting topiary - we had fun trying to guess what shape each tree had been cut into. Several interesting shops in Moreton, but suggest walking into town on a Tuesday when the market expands your choice considerably. Also within driving distance are Blenheim place, ( gardens worth the walk), Hailes Abbey, (good audio tour) and the Broadway Tower

Stayed for a Week, No Need to Use Car / Motorhome

We love this site. Facilities are always good and spotless, and maintenance is kept spot on. It is a short walk to the town and bus and train services to Stratford, Birmingham, Cheltenham and many other destinations are all readily close and convenient. For those who love outdoors there is good walking and running in the Cotswolds from the site. We cycle most of the time and using a map there are many routes away from busy roads leading out of the town.
