Moreton in Marsh

Really good site in a wonderful part of Britain. Moreton itself is a quaint old fashioned town with an excellent market. The club site is large but quite peaceful. Well kept this years wardens are first class and very cheerful. Facilities are well kept and modern.

Helpful Wardens

Just to say an all round excellent site but the main reason for this review is to thank the wardens for helping to locate a local Bailey dealer when we developed a problem with our caravan. With there help we located the dealer and managed to get the parts required to repair the problem and carry on our 5 week tour. Not enough praise is given to the wardens for the excellent job they do under sometimes lip biting conditions. Please members give them all a pat on the back when it's due they do an excellent job.

Lovely visit

Another great short stay on this fabulous site. Great wardens, clean site and facilities, thank you. Great location as the market town is a short walk away. Lovely self owned shops, especially the old fashioned toy shop which is quite a maze of a place and owned by a wonderful family who celebrated their golden wedding this year as well as 50 years of ownership. ~There is a small Tesco and Co-op and slightly further away a Budgens. Even closer is the Wellington Museum well worth a visit. Lovely walk through the fields, not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs, to Batsford Arboretum, but do be aware that the meadows are grazed by both cows and sheep. Nice cafe at the arboretum, but rather crowded regardless of the of the weather - indoor and outdoor seating, erring towards the pricey side BUT proper food cooked on the premises. There are also lovely walks, despite the walks folder not containing local walks, they all require a drive to another starting point, in the area and with the assistance of an OS map it is easy to follow a circular route with little use of roads. Visiting wood fired pizza cooking is lovely and they call a couple of times a week. Fish and chips arrived on Saturday, I didn't see any publicity for this and thus we didn't try them so can't comment. Huge fully enclosed dog walk and large play area which includes goal posts and a boules pit. Lovely site, we will be back.

Fully Enclosed Dog Walk

I used this site for one evening before traveling to Autosleepers in the morning for repairs. I only wish I could have stayed for longer. A lovely site with great facilities within easy reach of shops/pubs/walks. The FULLY ENCLOSED dog walk is fantastic !!! Highly recommended and yes, I will be returning.

Great Site

As ever clean and quiet unless along the road edge and even then not exactly the M1 other than the occasional lunatic driver. The staff as always very helpful and friendly. All amenities are spotless. Thank you

Motorhome and dog visitors

Visited Moreton for the first time and very impressed with the location of this site, friendly and helpful staff.  Easy walk to the village and the Arboretum, nice tea shops and pubs.  Excellent dog walk, enclosed field where you can let your dog off lead for a runabout.

Our First Outing

After purchasing our van the previous week we wanted a site that wasn't to far to travel but far enough to feel like a long weekend away. Moreton-in-Marsh was the perfect choice.  On arrival the staff were helpful and informative with nothing too much trouble, a lovely well stocked shop with all the essentials. The site was spotless and great pitches for all requirements. We stayed on pitch 93 which was at the end of one of the small cul-de-sacs it was at the side of a row of trees so a little shady but non the less had everything we needed. The site has plenty of fresh water points along with disposal, the shower and toilet areas were immaculate. A great play area for the children and large dog walking area. This site is ideally situated and only a 10min walk in to the lovely village which had some great shops. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you to the couple in the facing van from Somerset who helped us out with our questions, hope you enjoyed Silverstone

Autumn Long Weekend

We have been members of the Caravan Club for two years and Morton in Marsh was the first CC site we have stayed at as we prefer adult only sites. We had such a good time we stayed an extra day. This has to be the best CC Site in the Cotswold's being as it is so close to the town, all you need is only a ten minute walk away. The wardens are all so helpful and friendly and between them they keep the site looking great. The facilities are spotless but I do wish CC sites had music in the loos. (chamber music maybe. tongue in cheek.) We love the Cotswolds so I think Morton in Marsh CC site will be a regular get away as it is only 35 miles from home. Overall, a great place to stay and just now the Cotswold's is wearing it's autumn colours.

So very convenient.....

Moreton in Marsh is one of our most favourite sites. It is so conveniently placed for a stroll into Moreton its self where there are some fantastic shops, supermarkets, cafes, pubs and restaurants. And also convenient for a leisurely drive out to lovely towns and villages nearby. You cannot fault anything on the site. The Wardens work hard to maintain a very high standard throughout. They are always informative, chatty and cheerful. The doggie walk is one of the best. A very pleasant 4 days for us.

Perfectly located

Just had a brilliant 4 nights at one of my most favourite sites. It is so perfectly situated for a stroll into Moreton where there are lovely shops, cafe's, pubs and restaurants, as well as supermarkets. Not too far away are some fantastic villages and small towns. It is so well placed for touring around. The site its self is just great. The Wardens work hard to ensure this large site is kept up to an excellent standard in all respects. They are always cheerful and chatty.
