A brilliant first Club site for us!

This was our first Club site and we were really impressed with everything.  We particularly liked the spacious pitches, warm and clean toilets and the 10 minute walk to the high street of pretty Moreton. We would highly recommend this site particularly if the weather's not great as everything is so close by - even the chips we bought from the chippy were still warm after walking back from the town. Friendly and helpful site owner - thank you I'm sure we'll be back.

First stay..second visit.

We dropped by to see some friends about 9 months ago and said we'd book a stay, so we had 3 nights. It was nice that a mobile pizza parlour and fish & chips come to site...both tasty! Not knowing the layout of the site we ended up parking by the main road which was slightly noisy. High winds had brought the leaves down, so site looked a little messy, but you can't have it both ways...nice trees/or no leaves! The staff were really friendly and it really is a nice site. Didn't get into the dog walk and it was too wet (and apparently muddy) and our little dog doesn't take to that!! But short walk into Moreton, which is a nice high street and we had a great Sunday lunch in the Redesdale Arms. Would definitely go back!

Back again

Although the pitches are a little small (you can only get a caravan and awning on the width of the pitch and your car across the front), the site is great. Yes there can be some traffic noise, especially if you pitch near the road and in autumn and winter when the lack of leaves allows the noise to carry a bit more. However, the site was well maintained as usual and the wardens were very good. There is a large childrens play area on site and dog walking. Moreton is a good base from which to explore the Cotswolds. Stow, Adams Farm, the Chippings, the Slaughters and Bourton are all very close and Moreton itself is lovely. During the week there is a market, which is worth a look. The local shops are very good too, although some can be a tad expensive. Well worth a visit.

Great as ever

Stayed on this site again and as ever things are still great. The wardens do a superb job and nothing is too much trouble.Facilities as you would expect are excellent. The location is great requiring only a short stroll into Moreton with it,s many shops .The Tuesday market is well worth having a look around. There are numerous cafes and Pubs to eat ,however sadly The Swan ( which is nearest site) has sadly gone down a bit.It really needs a bit of TLC in the restaurant and the menu needs a bit of attention. We sampled the market day lunchtime special and regretted we did.Tillys tea rooms are excellent for coffee and lunch.

Lovely family holiday

This was our second visit to this site, this time we stayed October half term with our 3 children, 6, 4 & 18 months. Nice clean site (except one or 2 irresponsible dog owners letting their pooches poo on the grass!), good facilities particularly the play park, chippy van & gorgeous pizza oven that visits twice a week. There are lots of small cul de sac roads which we find perfect for a young family like ours as it helps avoid passing traffic etc when the little ones are out playing.  Great location close to the village and lots of fab days out nearby.  The site staff were very friendly & helpful and they laid on a few little activities for Halloween which was nice.  We'll certainly be returning.

Great all round site.

This is a great site to round off our brief tour of the South West. A large site which was still busy midweek, but if you choose your pitch carefully you will have plenty of space around you, I guess in the summer it could feel somewhat crowded but not for us, Plenty of on site activities for children and for those of you that have dogs, plenty of walking too. Nice little town of Moreton just a few minutes stroll away from the site, torches needed after dark though. All in all a lovely place to spend a few days whatever the weather.

The Battrick's short break

We had a very enjoyable five day stay here.  Even in November the site was excellent, with very clean washrooms and extremely helpful staff.  Our pitch was adequately sized and very well maintained.  It is just a few minutes walk from Moreton; a very pleasing town with full facilities.  We will return.

Moreton - Nov 15

We found the site  to be well maintained with no access problems. The wardens are very friendly & pleasant. It is a 5 minute walk to Moreton in Marsh. Most of the pitches are hard standings although we did think they are closer together than most sites. The only issue for us was that both toilet blocks are closed daily from 2 - 4pm. This seems unnecessary.... and as we returned cold & wet from a long walk at 3.15 we really wanted to use the showers but were unable to do so. Overall a nice site.
