Windy November 2015

We arrived on the afternoon of the predicted Tuesday gale. The wardens were very accurate with their forecast. They advised us not to put up an awning, and we didn't. The gale came and went overnight, there were plenty of small sticks on the ground but no big branches. This to my mind shows how good the wardens are to tending the bushes and hedges including the trees. Well done. I would also like to say at least, this site, with two toilet blocks cleans one in the morning and one in the afternoon. I wish other sites with two toile blocks would adopt this procedure.

A welcoming stay

A great site and location. The 'new winter staff' were very welcoming indeed, and very friendly - what a difference that makes. The site was clean and well looked after. My wife had a problem with the Club Wifi and the staff went the extra mile to sort it out - thank you.

Great site, handy location

Well up to CC standards with friendly helpful wardens.  Great spot for touring some of the Cotswold villages.  There are some lovely walks direct from the site and the charming village is 10 minutes walk.

First timer

This was my first ever visit in my new to us caravan. I chose this site as a practice run as it was easy to get to, they had a decent sized play area, they were very dog friendly with its own doggie play area. The chap was very welcoming on arrival, was happy to explain things as it was my first time, even though there was a queue building behind me. The site was easy to negotiate and we were able to choose a pitch suitable for us with the help of a very clear map we were given. Other people on the site seemed friendly and willing to help. There was a fantastic mixture of vehicles and vans which made for interesting viewing when wandering to the 'facilities'. I couldn't believe how warm the shower room was and it was all so clean and tidy even though it was quite busy. Everyone was very conscious on leaving it how they would want to find it. Definitely a great first time experience!!

Short but enjoyable stay

Spent two nights on this very pleasant site.  Friendly and helpful staff and lovely clean and warm shower blocks which were much appreciated.  Short walk into Moreton-in-Marsh, a pretty Cotswold village.  Bus into Stratford very convenient from bus stop on the edge of the site.   Next time we visit (which we will) we shall try the train to Oxford.  A most enjoyable visit!  PS. (Don't have any kids but the play area looked to be very nice).

A brilliant first Club site for us!

This was our first Club site and we were really impressed with everything.  We particularly liked the spacious pitches, warm and clean toilets and the 10 minute walk to the high street of pretty Moreton. We would highly recommend this site particularly if the weather's not great as everything is so close by - even the chips we bought from the chippy were still warm after walking back from the town. Friendly and helpful site owner - thank you I'm sure we'll be back.

First stay..second visit.

We dropped by to see some friends about 9 months ago and said we'd book a stay, so we had 3 nights. It was nice that a mobile pizza parlour and fish & chips come to site...both tasty! Not knowing the layout of the site we ended up parking by the main road which was slightly noisy. High winds had brought the leaves down, so site looked a little messy, but you can't have it both ways...nice trees/or no leaves! The staff were really friendly and it really is a nice site. Didn't get into the dog walk and it was too wet (and apparently muddy) and our little dog doesn't take to that!! But short walk into Moreton, which is a nice high street and we had a great Sunday lunch in the Redesdale Arms. Would definitely go back!

Back again

Although the pitches are a little small (you can only get a caravan and awning on the width of the pitch and your car across the front), the site is great. Yes there can be some traffic noise, especially if you pitch near the road and in autumn and winter when the lack of leaves allows the noise to carry a bit more. However, the site was well maintained as usual and the wardens were very good. There is a large childrens play area on site and dog walking. Moreton is a good base from which to explore the Cotswolds. Stow, Adams Farm, the Chippings, the Slaughters and Bourton are all very close and Moreton itself is lovely. During the week there is a market, which is worth a look. The local shops are very good too, although some can be a tad expensive. Well worth a visit.
