Time away

Nice to have a site where the town is only 5 minutes walk, lots of places to eat. Nice Main street with a good mixture of shops.

Feb 2016

We always enjoy this site. Great location, great pubs, lovely walking and a super site. Don't forget to cash your Tesco vouchers to eat at Ask Italian in before you travel. The Ask Italian in the village is a 5 min walk from the site. We had a great evening there and only had to pay for a bottle of red. Site staff were fantastic and looked after us, the facilities and site with pride.

Some things do not change

Not our first visit to Moreton in Marsh as this is our fall-back site. Wherever else we travel, we have to come back here usually at least twice a year. Everything is excellent, from the site's location, its spotless shower blocks to its friendly, easily approachable and very helpful wardens. So, here's to the next time!

Great venue

Me and my wife have just returned from a great week; the campsite is great and the staff are very good, flexible arrival times a well stocked shop, pizza, fish and chip nights, all good. The town I s a ten minute walk where there several very good pubs and restaurants. The hotels offer very good food at reasonable rates. We had some great meals the Indian is also very good. The dogs had a great time and where welcome everywhere we went. The landlord of the bell made them very welcome. We will be returning soon  Lee

As good as they come!!

All Caravan Club sites are special - and Moreton-in-Marsh is no exception!!  We only stayed a couple of nights but we were made very welcome by the warden and fully intend to return at the least excuse! The pitch (161) that we had was perfect in that there was no traffic noise at all but it was very near to the "facilities" (very handy as the day we were there, it rained a bit). It was also fairly close to the exit so we could very easily walk (10 mins tops) into Moreton where there is a selection of pubs and eating places.  There is also a very good street market on Tuesdays.  So the site is clean, well kept and a credit to all concerned. The only issue I would have has nothing to do with the site itself.  We read in someone else's review that a pizza-making concern visited the site and they said they had the best pizza ever.  Mine, I must say was almost the worst - sloppy and rather undercooked.  But that has nothing to do with the site itself which was excellent!!

Half term holiday

Lovely site, although pitches are small and you need to park your car at the front of the pitch. Short walk into town and a market on Tuesday's. Park and ride into Stratford on Avon does not exist anymore.  Visited a few National Trust properties in the area.

Recent stay

We stayed here last week for week. Lovely well kept clean site. Easy walk into Moreton in Marsh. If you have a dog recommend Tillies coffee shop, fish and chip shop also worth a visit. Market on a Tuesday. Easy to drive anywhere. Only down side was noise from road it's very busy and starts very early in the morning. Try and park further away but was very busy at weekends. Went out on Friday and took an hour with the traffic from Stow in the Wold to site. Would return again.

Comfy overnighter

We were only doing one night on our way home to Devizes after buying our new Buccaneer in Newcastle and it was horrid winter weather. But the site was very nice, especially if you like birds they were every where ,unfortunately there was a power cut but it didn't last long ,every one was very friendly and helpful. We would visit again.

Would definitely return !!

A lovely site, ideally located, only a ten minute walk from Moreton. Typical CC showers, very clean ! Staff all very helpful and 'cheery' even tho the weather could've been better when they were going about their duties. You do need a Co-axial tele cable ! Mobile reception was fine. Some people moan about the sound of road noise but we either sleep very well or we genuinely don't hear any ....... Mind you, with the rain bouncing off the top of the van we were never going to hear any noise from elsewhere !! The weather didn't spoil a lovely long weekend AND another lovely site. Flatter but very similar to Tewkesbury, querky bends going around the site BUT you're not pitched on grass like at Tewkesbury and all pitches are, themselves, flat !! Tewkesbury is lovely when dry ...... Moreton is lovely, full stop !! I've put 1 star for 'Rating For Families' for 2 reasons ..... 1. There may not be enough for families for a long break/holiday .. 2. We travel as a couple and enjoy the peace and quiet.
