Lovely site, although pitches are small and you need to park your car at the front of the pitch. Short walk into town and a market on Tuesday's. Park and ride into Stratford on Avon does not exist anymore. Visited a few National Trust properties in the area.
Recent stay
We stayed here last week for week. Lovely well kept clean site. Easy walk into Moreton in Marsh. If you have a dog recommend Tillies coffee shop, fish and chip shop also worth a visit. Market on a Tuesday. Easy to drive anywhere. Only down side was noise from road it's very busy and starts very early in the morning. Try and park further away but was very busy at weekends. Went out on Friday and took an hour with the traffic from Stow in the Wold to site.
Would return again.
Comfy overnighter
We were only doing one night on our way home to Devizes after buying our new Buccaneer in Newcastle and it was horrid winter weather. But the site was very nice, especially if you like birds they were every where ,unfortunately there was a power cut but it didn't last long ,every one was very friendly and helpful. We would visit again.
Would definitely return !!
A lovely site, ideally located, only a ten minute walk from Moreton. Typical CC showers, very clean !
Staff all very helpful and 'cheery' even tho the weather could've been better when they were going about their duties.
You do need a Co-axial tele cable ! Mobile reception was fine. Some people moan about the sound of road noise but we either sleep very well or we genuinely don't hear any ....... Mind you, with the rain bouncing off the top of the van we were never going to hear any noise from elsewhere !!
The weather didn't spoil a lovely long weekend AND another lovely site. Flatter but very similar to Tewkesbury, querky bends going around the site BUT you're not pitched on grass like at Tewkesbury and all pitches are, themselves, flat !!
Tewkesbury is lovely when dry ...... Moreton is lovely, full stop !!
I've put 1 star for 'Rating For Families' for 2 reasons ..... 1. There may not be enough for families for a long break/holiday ..
2. We travel as a couple and enjoy the peace and quiet.
Great for a short stay
Stayed for one night last Saturday in our motorhome. Great location for Moreton (10 min walk) but not a lot else around. There is a bus stop outside but the bus schedule seems like only 3 buses ever stopped there - all week!
Shower blocks spotlessly clean and warm.
You have to twist the electric plug to get your hook up working.
The path back to the reception could be better signposted.
But very tranquil and relaxing
We'll be back
Just returned from this site. Staff always pleasant & helpful from booking in to departure. Don't necessarily agree with other reviews re cramped spaces etc... We did not have a problem...The site is well positioned, 10min walk in to Moreton, however that is about all when on foot otherwise plenty of places to drive to. The site was very clean, with clean facilities all up to the usual CC standard. Rock pegs for awnings are a must along with a TV coaxial cable... Enjoyable stay & will return soon ??
A little bit cramped?
Only stopped for one night and half the site not in use. Pitches seemed quite small and some difficult to get onto especially without turning soft verges into mud. No doubt very popular in peak season due to location but would be too cramped. Usual clean facilities. Easy quick walk to town and close to bus service for accessing other Cotswoldy towns.

Emergency retreat
Camping in wet and cold January and needing a quiet site within easy reach of Gloucester yet close enough to child centered activities. This site was perfect. The wardens were all welcoming and very accommodating at all times, they made our stay. The showers and washing facilities were spotless and WARM! Showering with a two year old who hates showers was easy because there is room in the cubicle for clothes, a curtain to keep them dry and space to move in the shower. The grounds offered a variety of settings, either close to facilities hard standing or secluded outer corners. The only down side to the outer pitches was road noise but it quietened down till morning. The site is well kept and flat making for easy access. The Saturday night chip van was an unexpected bonus! And they were really good fish and chips cooked while you waited! Tea rooms in the town allowed dogs in which was great!

Convenient for town but close to road
I so much wanted this to be flawless review that I’m going to feel a bit guilty about pointing out the few things which I felt detracted for an otherwise great stay. The biggest plus and minus is probably the positioning. It’s very convenient for the town and only a short walk into make full use of shops and restaurants, but the down side of this is that it’s on the main road and the noise can be intrusive – particularly first thing in the morning when all you want to do is have a lie-in. Moreton is very pleasant, but small and ‘done’ in a day, so unless you are prepared to venture further afield, there are a finite number of times you can look at Cotswold kitsch.
The wardens were great, informative and the showers were positioned refreshingly far up the walls – at 6’3” I’ve found some sites have them at the ideal height for children. However, the water in the dishwashing area never got above tepid and the pitches seemed a bit narrow.
Don’t get me wrong; it is a good site and we’ll almost certainly be back, it could just have been so much more.
Great Location
Stayed here weekend 22/1/16-24/1/16, great site, just what you would expect of a club site. easy walk into the local village, where they accept dogs in the swan inn, black bear and inn on the marsh. would highly recommend this site, excellent phone signal, but not as good tv reception, i personally could not get any other channels apart from bbc. will definitely be returning.
