Happy Holiday

After missing most of the year, finally arrived at Moreton-in-Marsh and was greeted by the nicest people running the site, very helpful and friendly and made our stay safe and pleasant, smiles and politeness at these tough times, thankyou

Lovely site but overcrowded

We enjoyed staying here again, however I did feel that the site was overcrowded due to "staycationers" during Coronavirus. I would have preferred that the site was not filled to maximum capacity but that a pitch was left empty in between each unit. We didn't use the facility blocks due to Coronavirus and felt that it would have been better if they remain closed. There surely must have been people on site who had Coronavirus but were asymptomatic which is why we stayed well clear of all communal areas. Luckily we had, by pure chance, got an awning pitch at the end of a row so we only had people on one side of us. I wont be staying again until the quieter months of autumn or until we have a vaccine. We also didn't think it was particularly fair on Moreton in Marsh locals that CAMC vacationers were inundating the town.

Lovely relaxing stay without Coronavirus worries

Just enjoyed a great 2 night stay. Fabulous wardens with a friendly welcome and easy to understand instructions re Covid safe stay. Toilet/shower blocks spotlessly clean. My only small criticism would be that perhaps 4 people at a time could use facilities rather than creating queues outside, as cubicles are safely screened from others to allow a slightly higher number of occupants at any given time. All campers were sensible & acted with care around site. Highly recommend for anyone searching for a quiet break with easy walking access to small market town. We will be back

July 2020 overnight

This was our second outing post covid lockdown and we were very disappointed having stayed at this site previously. There is a very confusing system of bands left in a dubious liquid with dead insects floating in it which you needed to pick out and take in with you to the toilet block and put back in as you leave. If none available then waiting outside was required. However it soon became apparent that customers didn't know whether this was necessary just for showers or for toilets too and when the showers were being used and noone in the toilets seemed daft to wait outside and people were then jumping the queue. Also the soap and sanitiser were found to have run out and we were only at the site for a night. There did not seem to be extra cleaning just the normal once a day which I don't think is sufficient currently especially when the dispensers are running out. Hopefully this is early days and a new system can be arranged which works better. Note also the shrubbery needs clipping on the roadway through the top of the site, was attacking our vehicle as we drove out.

Very Enjoyable

Just spent a long weekend at Moreton and thoroughly enjoyed it. The team there have worked hard to get it COVID ready and the measures put in place work. Very clean site as per usual standards. Pitches a bit overgrown weed wise but not an issue as far as I am concerned. looking forward to booking it again and it will be added to my favourites. Well done to the Wardens that run it, never seen so many caravans & motor homes arriving at one time, they were marshalled into the entrance and cleared through booking.

Just the best

Just spent 10 days at this site and cant rate it high enough. Facilities are all covid run with wrist bands, so patience is a must some days, but that's a sign of the times and if everyone sticks to it we will be able to continue to use the camp sites. The wardens are all brilliant especially Julie and Andrew, they really did go above and beyond for us. Thank you both. The location is fantastic with just a 10 minute walk into Moreton its self. There are restaurants, coffee shops, a couple of small super markets some takeaways, something for everyone. The Swan was lovely very friendly staff and good food, we didn't have a good experience at the Inn on the marsh but each to their own. Everywhere you eat or drink you have to leave your name and phone number as per government guidelines. The cotswolds cheese company and the butchers (great for the bbq as will cut anything you want) are great for old fashioned 1-1 service. If you dont have a car but want to explore the fantastic areas around (we were in a motorhome or you like a drink or two) theres a bus stop outside and the time table is on there, there also a train station to go further a field both do day return tickets. Buses dont run on sat or sun but this might differ in summer hols. The only thing that some may find a gripe with is the location of the road as it could occasionally be noisy as others have said, so if that's a deal breaker for you dont book it. Thank you CAMC and your hard working staff they are a credit to the club and I wish all your wardens were the same.

Try to stay here as soon as you can

I forgot to leave a review for our stay just before the lockdown was enforced. The site remains a lovely place to stay. Try not to get too focused on whether the pitches are too narrow, or there are puddles on the drive. Situated just on the edge of Moreton in Marsh makes it great for the town and all the delightful places locally. When we can all get out again, try a stay here, you will have a great holiday!

Not good

Arrived on the 13/03/20 for six nights, was told there is a shower block either side of the site choose your pitch and let us know and do not go on the grass. We found it impossible not to as the roads are to narrow and tight turns. Then the shower block was out of action and the service points had the water off as well, meaning a walk to the other side of the site for water for two days, did not see a warden to see if we was coping/wanted to switch pitches/need any help. not up to the usual standards from the site and wardens,

Totaly Unacceptabe

Arrived Wednesday reception unwellcoming, empty shelves and old awning for sale layed on the floor. Favourite pitch now over looked by pods, struggle to find alternative as all pitches to small car has to be parked in front of caravan Pitches worn out and undefined as covered in leaves and mud. All grass edges churned up and muddy, pot holes on many corners, no attempt to rectify this by wardens only saw them empty bins. And then it rained, and due to the very poor condition of the site it flooded many pitches should have been taken out of service one cul-de-sac was not accessible on foot but nothing was done, 20ft section of road in front of our pitch was flood and we needed wellingtons to move arround. It is not Caravan Club standard and the people at the top should have alook and announce a schedule for it's reverbishment

A great site!

Our few nights on this site were marred by bad whether, everywhere was very wet, but the site team were doing a really great job of trying to keep on top of it and despite the never ending task of moving water always had a friendly smile and greeting. The facilities on the site are great, although some might be heading towards time for a refresh? There is a large play area if you have children in the right age group. The town is lovely and plenty of places to visit locally including the town, an arboretum and excellent falconry center all in walking distance. This was our second visit to the site having been about 4 years ago, I'm sure it wont be our last!
