Nice site but quite a few pitches constantly in the shade.
Its untouched charm is definitely touched by the noise from the adjoining A44 main road running alongside and within but a few yards of some pitches.
If you have friends around you will have to pause whilst traffic passes so as to be heard.
Not a site if you are seeking tranquility and a wind down break.
Excellent Location for the Cotswolds
Great location with very friendly wardens, however when we arrived there was only 1 pitch left as site fully booked. We arrived at 2.30pm so not that late. We have a long twin axel with door on other side to UK caravans. All of our unit measurements are logged with the club. When we arrived we were told "due to the length of your unit we have reserved a pitch for you as its the only one you will fit on that is available". We were taken to probably the worst and narrowest pitch on the site which had been coned off. We paid for a standard pitch with awning. We could not use our awning and have the car parked on the pitch at the same time as too narrow. We could not park the car at the front of the pitch as our nose was practically on the road. We were told we were not allowed to use the door on a particular side due to fire regulations and were told to park nose first which would have meant putting the nose into the hedge. We declined to do this. We had 2 walkways either side of the pitch and our electric cable had to go across the walkway. I saw at least 2 people trip over the cable (this would have happened regardless of which way we pitched). We were told that we could move our unit the following day onto a bigger pitch opposite and were told which pitch to go on. We were only staying 4 nights - so the next morning we had to wait until almost noon in order to move pitches. this wasted half the day. The second pitch was excellent and plenty big enough for our unit once the tiny little motorhome had departed. We were told by the wardens "well if you want a good pitch then you need to arrive at noon" , even though they had "apparently reserved a pitch for us"............. It wont put us off going again as the location is fabulous but a lot of the pitches are very narrow. The showers are excellent and its a great site for dog owners with a good dog walking area. So moral of the story is - arrive at noon..........
1st visit - great stay
Our first visit to this site and stayed for seven nights. Coupled with the fantastic sunny weather we have had a great stay. Like many other reviews, first impressions aren’t great and the club has some work to do in getting it up to the normal standards. The majority of the hard standing pitches need reorganising and relaying. It’s a large site split into two sections with lots of individuals small areas, it has a very continental feeling. Booking in was seamless and very welcoming and all the wardens were very pleasant. If you encounter a problem or just wanted a chat they were very engaging and you’ll probably find that they are working very hard to keep on top of the grass, hedge and tree cutting especially when they are running one pair of wardens down. Courteously advised us when they were cutting the grass adjacent to our pitch and apologised for the noise.
The system of bands in the Milton fluid is the best we’ve experienced during COVID-19 restrictionists and the cleaning of the toilet/shower blocks at 15:00hrs everyday is a no brainier that ALL sites should adopt without delay.
In the evening during this late summer spell, the site atmosphere is excellent with most sitting outside to dine and enjoy nature, reminded us of many sites we have visited in France. Pizza and fish & chip vendors visited a number of times during our stay.
Used the site to visit many beautiful towns and villages absolutely stunning locations, we cycled to quite a few but the roads can be very busy and the locals don’t hang about especially going past the site.
A great stay and we will return and I’m sure the club are aware of the updates that need doing so hopefully our next visit will experience the improvements.
Very tired but has potential.
Due to the position of this site, being a short walk into Moreton in marsh and well places for other towns and attractions in the Cotswolds, it has the potential for being one of the best sites on the network.
However, one has to agree with many comments in other reviews regarding pitches being very tired, cars parked across the front of the pitch, potholes in the roads, rotting wood around the water taps.
The site needs a revamp to widen and improve the hardstandings, repair the roads etc and possibly create some serviced pitches.
Pity about the road noise on some pitches but little the club could do about that.
The club should do what it is able to do and make this a top site.
Maybe as the site is full most nights anyway there would be no return on the investment?
Dissapointing No, very disappointing
We have been using this site for many years as it was one of our favourite sites. We noticed last November that the site appeared unkempt and tired. We put this down to dreary winter months coming on.
We stayed again in the following August and how this site has detiorated is sad.
The pitches are unrecognisable from the surrounding grass as they are weedy and not edged off properly. The grass was long and untidy. The trees and shrubs needed a good pruning, there were weeds all amongst the shrubs. It appears that more effort is being put into the glamping area?
The majority of the wardens seemed to have some sort of surly attitude? Not friendly at all.
We were unfortunate to have a breakdown whilst we were there and Green Flag attended to us........the wardens seemed preoccupied with keeping the breakdown truck offsite as it was 8pm and they didn't want to disturb our neighbouring caravans. No sympathy for the fact we had suffered a vehicle breakdown. Come on CAMC you can do better than this!
One plus side the location is good.

Don't here go to relax
Arrived on site just after 12 with usual queue, sadly only 1 warden checking people in even though 2 allowed in reception. 1 was stood outside just lifting barrier, had to wait a good 15 mins to check in, card had expired due to not receiving new one due COVID and was made to leave and get ID and join end of Queue again. Surely they would of known I was a member on the system. Useless ID as wearing face mask.. another warden would have speeded up the process at check in time.
got to pitch, tired looking and unkempt pitch, low and behold the lawnmower started which he came from other side of site. Continued to mow the site till 4.30pm over 5 hrs of mowing. I know this needs to be done and maintained this time of the year but my god didn’t it give us an awful headache Listening to that for nearly 5 hours, it was a warm day so couldn’t even sit inside with the doors closed to drown out the noise. listening to that for nearly 5 hours, it was a warm day so couldn’t even sit inside with the doors closed to drown out the noise. Why can’t this be done hours during the week?? We certainly didn’t have a relaxing stay.
Wardens not the friendliest. It was like us being there was more of an inconvenience that to welcome us.
Site is in a great location but does need some maintenance around to bring it up to standard. Didn’t use facilities as used our own. No hand sanitiser near water and waste points unlike some other CMC sites.
All in all a poor experience.
Needs Some TLC
This is the sixth site that we have stayed on so far this year and, sadly, by far the worst. Yes, it is in a convenient place but it is badly let down by the condition that it is in. Money seems to have been spent on some 'huts' in the field behind but nothing on the site itself. Some of the grass pitches were unusable because of poor drainage. All of the hardstanding was badly worn, uneven and full of weeds. There are a lot of tall trees and they needed attention because fairly large branches were on the ground where they had obviously dropped.
The whole site had an air of neglect - totally different to Broadway just down the road.
Convenient site
We stayed for 2 nights at August Bank holiday weekend so the site was full. Unfortunately our pitch was next to the main road which was very busy. We were also unable to attach our tv aerial as there was just a hole. The staff were very helpful but unable to fix it. At a less busy time and on a pitch further from the road with a function ing tv aerial we would have enjoyed our stay more and were glad we were only staying for 2 nights. On the plus side the site is very convenient for the town being only a short walk away.
Beware Milton Splashback
Great site, my favourite in fact, as it’s well located, however just a note of caution over the Covid measures. To enter the loo block you fish a wrist band out of a bath of Milton fluid, however during my visit the strength of the solution was strong enough to bleach my sister’s trousers where it dripped all down one leg. There was a long queue for the dishwashing area as only one person can enter at a time, totally understandable BUT when an individual goes onto dry every item before leaving and there are five people waiting it can be frustrating. That being said as the Milton is strong enough to kill an elephant we won’t have a chance of catching COVID, so happy days.

Great break from lockdown.
A good end to our lockdown.
Felt very safe with all the measures put in place.
With our trusty OS map we identified a number of excellent walks. Would have been helpful if the site's website had printable routes for walking or cycling.
Bring a long tv extension lead if you wish to use the bollard's tv point.
Very enjoyable and relaxing break.
