Well done Ali and Rob

We stayed here as part of our current tour. This is a lovely site, perfectly situated for walking and cycling. Minehead was a very pleasant surprise much underrated. We were impressed by how hard the wardens were working whilst having to cope with the covid restrictions and yet they always had time for a friendly chat. This is a one off tour but if we lived closer this would be on our list of frequently visited sites.

Great Location, great wardens too!

Our motorhome broke down at the msp and the wardens Rob & Ali were just so helpful, eventually the RAC turned up and we could move onto our pitch. After the arrival problem our weekend got better & better - What a great place to visit. We have already booked up to go again.

Nice Site

We had a nice time at this site. The Facilities were spotless. The wardens were not nasty but we’re not overly friendly which I would say is unusual for club sites. It wouldn’t put me off going back but it was a bit different from the norm.Covid procedures were good although I prefer the wristbands in the Milton solution instead of the wristbands on the hook. What I don’t understand is why do men get less in numbers in the facilities than women?... it should be even and no differences made. Chippy was ok ,but Chinese was Brilliant but you should order your Chinese before you go to shop on the phone as it seems to be quicker and you don’t have to wait in a queue outside. Nice coop all within a few minutes walk.

Gold Standard wardens

Others have said all that is to be said about this peaceful site and the town itself.I would like to comment on the wardens. It was such a pleasant change to find 2 people without the all-too-common attitude that is found on some sites. They run the site really well and are friendly and helpful. They seem to recognise the fact that we are all in the same club, enjoying the same pastime. I know it's a demanding job and these wardens have got the authority / helpfulness balance right. Thank you both.

Nice small site

A small site set on two levels. Mostly surrounded by tall trees so pick your pitch carefully if you want to maximise the sun. Just off the main road but the road noise was hardly noticeable. Lovely walk up through the woods to Dunster but it's a bit tough at the start, also a nice level walk along the coast path to the cafe at Blue Anchor and a taxi back (£11). Minehead itself is a bit 'tired' and doesn't really have much to recommend it, apart from the great chippy next to the co-op just along from the site. Couldn't find a decent pub nearby. Covid rules here were fine, not intrusive and those that are worried about it would no doubt feel safe. Having two separate individual toilets was great as it meant you didn't have to wait to use the loo whilst two people were taking showers.

1st Trip since covid-19

I must say I was very impressed with the way this site has adapted to make it covid safe. I found it to be well organised and the system seemed to work well. Apart from that it was great with plenty of places to visit.

Recommended Site.

We just spent 4 nights at this site during school holidays. as always we look at the reviews before booking any club site, and I must say the reviews do not do this site the recognition it deserves. upon arrival we were greeted with a smile and friendly welcome, we were advised to walk the site to choose a pitch as most roads are dead ends. this is for your benefit as turning will be difficult should you not like those specific pitches. normally i always use my own shower in the motorhome! but I must say the cleanliness and conditions of the showers and facilities were amazing, so much so that for the first time in 2 years I did prefer using the site showers, as did my wife. they are always locked and you are given keys for both Male and female. the staff are so friendly, I damaged the grass when reversing my van into position, I did go and inform the staff and their response was amazing. "dont worry sir, it will grow back. dont threat" the site is very well looked after, and even in February the grass was perfect. except for my tire Mark's!!! it is a short walk to the town and a 3 mile hike to Dunster castle, I would recommend using the back rd, it's more up and down but the views are incredible. also if you can, try Porlock and Porlock weir. these are amazing places. the pubs are amazing especially the ship in Porlock weir. the SW coast walk is also nearby and amazing. if you want exmoor, a car would be advisable but there are local cabs which you can get from the office, and reasonably priced. there were families on site with kids, and I must say that we never really heard them at all. compared to some sites we've been to, it was a pleasure. would we stay here again?? yes... without fail, just this time we would maybe like the car with us to explore more.

Members drive to fast on site

Lovely clean site, very handy for Minehead`s attractions. My only concern is that vehicles on site are not sticking to the 5 mph limit. With a young family I had to quickly move to the grass to avoid a car and we witnessed speeding on numerous occasions throughout our short stay. This is not going to be popular but it appears to be the more senior members who are not abiding by the 5mph rule.

excellent site, really close to Minehead Town , 10 minutes walk, we also walked to Dunster village which is about 2 miles. A few takeaways near if you dont want to cook. Lovely heated shower block. Would go again.
