Super site

Our 1st time at this site, but it wont be our last! Very clean modern facilities, terrific site staff who work very hard to keep it clean and tidy for and make our stay such a pleasant one. Great walk to Dunster Castle and such a pretty village. You must do the open top bus trip to Lynmouth, the scenery is spectacular. Thank you

Clean and Tidy

Site down a lane tight left hand turn then down another tight lane, worth it when you on site, open setting. Wardens pleasant and helpful, site must have been full as a pitch had been allocated to me, poor pitch number 93 avoid at all costs, dog walkers happy to walk across your pitch to reach the dog walk even when you are sitting outside, some signage to tell people to "keep off the grass" might be helpful Toilet block very modern and clean.

Lovely friendly site

A site local to us, but it did not disappoint. The wardens are lovely and friendly and will go out of their way to talk to you. This is a quiet site, local to Minehead, which suited us perfectly especially as it is the school summer holidays. Facilities were always spotlessly clean. Needless to say, we will be back (many times!), as even though it is ‘just down the road’, it felt a million miles away!

Great site and friendly Wardens

Stayed at this site for 9 nights in July. Really enjoyed it. Very quiet and protected by trees. Handy for Town and beach, and shopping parade nearby, Wardens Zoe and Sam very efficient and friendly. Will return . A39 to Minehead is very twisty and narrow in places.

Another great stay

Been to Minehead a few times now and apart from the A39 drive in always great site! Our bus is wider than an artic so some pretty scary moments ... but once onsite warm welcome perfect pitch set up feet up wine up fabulous! Great locatión for beach shops walks an pubs, our favourite is the Brittania proper pub! Great fish n chips on same road and the China garden near the site is amazing! Best takeaway we ve had for ages! Lovely walk to Dunster to the Foresters arms lovely hidden garden. If the road in was better we,d be frequent visitors but maybe twice a year enough time to get my nerves back lol... thanku for great stay lovely wardens.

Cracking little site with super good wardens

We’re currently on the site with our 4 children.. I have to say that this is a brilliant site made 10 times better because the wardens are so good, super friendly helpful, great to talk to and run the place like clockwork. The site is very well kept and the Minehead town, harbour and beach are all really nice as well. The sea so far had been lovely and great for young families as it’s been very calm and has a nice slow gradient so kids feel safe and don’t go out of there depth. All in all a super site I recommend for all types of family, keep up the great work wardens. Many thanks from the Parry’s

Top notch

This was my first few days on my own having picked up a new van so I had lots of questions . Zoe was most helpful , friendly and welcoming ( I think my gorgeous whippet helped!) The site is immaculate with spotless facilities and lovely planting everywhere. There is plenty of space on each pitch and it was lovely and quiet. Its a 20 minute walk to the beach and there is loads to do in the area. I will definitely be back to this well run site

Great Site, wonderful location

Attended here in June, for a week. Weather was kind, so that was a bonus. We love this site, as it has everything we love about Motorhoming - great site & facilities, great location for getting around, be it walking, cycling, easy to catch local transport, and many places to visit. We walked via the back lane route to Dunster, and back again along the A39. We walked from Minehead across the moor on the SW Coastal path to Porlock, which is a great walk on a nice day - we caught the bus back to Minehead. On another day, we cycled to Minehead, taking in the Harbour, sea front, then onto Dunster Beach, where we stopped for tea (had a great tuck shop there). We cycled then from Dunster Beach on the walking/cycle path to Blue Anchor. This path runs out before you reach Blue Anchor - you could walk your bikes the short distance into Blue Anchor, as we've done before, but we turned around, and cycled into Dunster village. From the village, we took the back lane route back to the site - a really nice cycle ride. On another day, we took the open top double decker bus to Lynmouth/Lynmouth - which was a great day out. Good fun going up Porlock Hill & down Countisbury Hill (and vice versa) on a double decker bus !! We had a lovely Thai meal at the Queens Head Minehead on one of the evenings - which we would recommend. The wardens were wonderful - helpful, friendly & accommodating. Everything was clean and well kept. The only issue we had (albeit minor), whilst setting up our awning, was the hardness of the hardstanding pitch, which was like concrete - think I broke around 5 or so pegs ! We love this site, and the area, and always look forward to visiting there. Fingers crossed, back again in December.

Frequent Visitor

Most of our trips are to CL sites, however Minehead CAMC is the exception. It has a great layout, is easy stroll into the interesting town of Minehead wit its harbour and old town area (it's not all about Butlins!). The walking from the site is exceptional and it is only a short car drive to the wilds of Exmoor. The site wardens are very friendly and facilities are well maintained. We visit at least once a year and you can see the numerous walks we have done in the are on my blog site https://twodogsandanawning.co.uk/site/minehead-camc/
