Stopped here for two nights. The site is very clean. Close to Newark which has local shops, restaurants (Indian takeaway was very expensive). The warden and staff were very pleasant and helpful. Fishing lake on site also log cabins. Depending on wind direction depends on noise on site.
would go again
Great Site
A great little site with an extremely warm welcome from the wardens. Great hardstanding pitches some are huge. If you dont fancy hardstanding they have grass pitches too. The site is extremely well kept and the heated toilet blocks are spotless. Only down side is noise from the A1 but thats not the sites fault. Been three weekends running now and also got to see the last flight of the Vulcan last weekend. Would certainly recommend the site, especially the pitches overlooking the lake. Dogs are welcome too and their is a great dog walk for them too.
Very enjoyable !
Lovely site, very close to A1, so was a little noisy if your not used to traffic. Lovely clean shower block, very well kept. Friendly staff, and FAB fish & chips on Saturday from visiting van. Very handy for Newark Showground. Got to see the last flight of The Vulcan too!

Nice site
The owners and staff are very friendly, the site itself very clean and tidy, as are the shower blocks. If you have dogs then there is a dedicated dog walking area, and a small fishing lake to walk round. The noise from the nearby railway and A1 are noticlble but won't ruin your stay and we are already planning to come back, it's definitely in our favourites list.
Not welcome
This is not a site for Motorhomes. We arrived at about 4pm just to spend the night, it is between the very busy road and a railway. In the middle of nowhere with no shop or pub in walking distance. We only wanted a night stop to be able to empty and fill up, so it didn't worry us that there was nothing there. It's a well kept site but suits, As all CC sites, caravans. We paid £20 for 1 night which is a lot to use a very small amount of electric empty and fill up with water. To be told we shouldn't fill up with water they were on a meter, well we feel we paid for it well over the odds. So will not be back..

great location
This site is great the owners are so frendly and the location is just off the A1 and just outside Newark great for fishing as the lake on site as some nice carp.
Great weekend
We've had a lovely 2 nights at Milestone site. Very clean and well looked after the wardens do a great job.
The wardens are very friendly and helpful, we ran out of gas after the office was closed but they opened so I could buy another.
We didn't notice the noise from A1 too much. Will be returning for longer next time.
Relaxing site
We have just returned from a 6 day break here. Whilst there was some noise from the A1 and the train track 1/3 of a mile away it didn't spoil our holiday.
The wardens are extremely friendly and helpful and the toilet and shower blocks are kept very clean and tidy. The dog walk is lovely and peaceful and the lake and pond areas are well kept and pleasant to stroll around. There is a lot of bird life around the site with bird boxes in most of the trees. My wife and I highly recommend this site and will be returning next year.
Nice place for a short stop off stay
This site is ideal when you want to stop off enroute as it is quite literary just off the A1. Therefore unfortunately you do get traffic noise from the busy road. However the site itself is well laid out and the toilet and shower blocks are clean ..Like I said it is nicely laid out ,which makes for nice walks around the lakes etc and has several wooden lodges privately owned and used .The wardens are very good but be aware they do not offer much in the way of provisions in reception. (Mainly fish bait for the fishermen using the lakes). There is a Spar shop at the other end of the village (bit of a walk though)behind the garage. There is a fishmonger visiting the site selling fresh fish which is very good.Like I said this is a great stop off site when using the A1 (shame about the road noise though)
A real find!
We chose this site as we wanted to visit Lincoln and Newark because of the Civil War connection but we were pleasantly surprised by the lovely surroundings and the high standard of the pitches. The owners really take pride in keeping the site well maintained and we really loved the view from our pitch over the fishing lakes. The toilet block was clean but the facilities maybe stretched when the site is full. The location is close to the A1 and it's busy so there is some road noise, however it does mean that it is easy to reach the attractions in the local area.
