A fabulous holiday spot

Just returned from a fabulous two week holiday. It didn't start very well as we arrived on the 23rd on the back of a tow truck as the clutch on the car went. However on arrival to site the wardens couldn't have been any more helpful took all the stress away. The site is really well kept, the play children's play area is the best I've seen on any club site and the area is simply stunning, so unspoilt and beautiful. There are some beautiful villages St Mawes is so picturesque and the evening country fair at Philleigh is a must outing in August (as is the Philleigh inn pub which has a really great menu in a lovely country pub which is family friendly)

Great place

Merrows farm. What can I say. St mawes is isolated which makes for a peaceful time in a stunning part of Cornwall. 20 mins from truro spotlessly clean big pitches a lot of hard standing. Great play area to keep the kids busy. Dog walk is perfect little site shop with essentials but for the big stuff visit tesco or aldi in Truro which is a beautiful cathedral town with loads of shops. All the staff on site are extremely helpful and pleasant. Laundry is fit for purpose and the toilets and showers are kept spot on. The only down side is if you do go for a large break with kids is to remember this is cornwall and everything costs so wear your trousers with deep pockets. 3 sheltered beaches literally 1.5 miles away which are stunning but get there early as this isn't tourist land. It's undiscovered and therefore very very limited on parking. But there is always Mawgan porth 45 mins away if you want a day in the surf. Well worth the drive for the warm sea and big waves for your body board. Enjoy. We all did for 2 weeks and yes I will be back

Another lovely holiday!

Merrose Farm never falters: high standards, friendly wardens and peaceful setting!  What more can a caravanner ask for? We had our 5th summer holiday to this well run site and will be returning next year! Just brilliant!  Thank you Caravan Club!

stunning

stayed here on 27th may for two weeks, a beautiful site large pitches. Good well stocked shop with newspapers to order. If you decide to visit Falmouth its a must to use the king harry chain ferry which is reasonably priced. If you visit St Mawes it is very hard to find somewhere to park, also a real treat visit Portschatho Beach its a wow! Also if like us you have a motorhome its a no go round cornwalls roads. we hired a car from enterprise 10% discount for being in the club, and 98 pounds for the week, well worth it to get around, its a pick up and drop off service of which I can highly recommend.

Return Trip after 5 years

July 2016 we stay for a week and as usual facilities where spotless and Wardens very friendly and helpful. Weather could have been better but the Roseland Peninsular is gorgeous. Since last time there seemed to be many more pitches added as it did seem packed with vans. However never needed to queue for shower, great fish from Farm Shop up the road as before. I am sure we will be back and not so long this time!!

Great site

We have  visited this site before and love the area. The hard standing plots are great and spacious, although the grass plots looked quite tight. Wardens are extremely helpful and friendly. The only downside to our stay on this occasion was the shower block, now quite dated compared to other CC sites and very poor water pressure in the showers. Overall though a great stay and would return.

4 Night Break

This was our first stay on a CC Site. We were very impressed, lovely clean well maintained site. Good dog walking area. Friendly, helpful team who run the site, always working. We hired a car for a couple of days to explore the area, beautiful. When we returned the car we caught the ferry back to St Mawes, then a ferry across to Place, then walked back to the site...a good 4 hours. We would stay here again. Can't really comment if its good for families, it suited my husband & myself & our dog. We stayed before the school holidays.

A Packed Site

We had a week here in mid July and cannot honestly say it was our favourite CC site. Absolutely jam packed everywhere and has the biggest ratio of pitches to acreage that we have experienced so far. I have never seen so many dogs either -( why would one want to take six dogs on holiday) - isn't this a bit extreme for the site? The wifi was Gold standard, but unfortunately the shower block was no so. However the facilities were kept clean and the water was hot for a change! Plenty to do in the area and beautiful walks, beaches etc. Well worth a visit but I doubt we will return to this particular site. Too many pitches crammed in together.

June 2016

Lovely site with helpful staff. We stayed a few nights at this site and did a bit of sight seeing while we were here. Well maintained site which was also clean & tidy and a good exercise enclosure for our dog. Good shop with all the essentials. Worth a visit ??
