Brilliantly run site

We have just returned from this site and feel that it is one of the best run caravan club sites that we have stayed on.  The wardens are an amazing team who are constantly on the go to maintain such high standards, and all of them were so helpful and friendly.  The site is located in a beautiful part of Cornwall with easy access to the coast path.  Lots to see and do within fairly easy reach.  Thank you to the team at Merrose Farm !

Great two weeks

Great site really well laid out, we had a really good grass pitch (111). The site is really well run by very enthusiastic and helpful wardens. The grounds and facilities all kept in excellent condition. The only reason we gave a four for location was because the beaches where not as easy or as quick to get to as we hoped the would be (that is walking). Otherwise the location is good for getting to a range of great places, especially via the King Harry ferry, and the fact that we hired a car instead of taking the motorhome down Cornwalls very narrow roads. Thank you fo a great two weeks.

Great site

A great location to visit the Roseland area. Caught the local buses to St Mawes for ferry to Falmouth, Truro and Place. The enjoyed the coastal path walks with stunning scenery. The staff were friendly and very helpful and facilities were clean and kept to a high standard. The fish and chips from the local van was very good, I will be back to explore the areas I did not have time to visit

Clean and pleasant site.

We've just spent a fortnight at Merrose Farm. We pitched on the top field due to a shortage of hard standing at the time of our arrival. The grass was in very good condition despite the preceding damp weather. The slight slope aiding the drainage. No problem levelling our 645 caravan fore /aft, slight slope across that we could live with, although some others were using levelling ramps.  The dog field was a good size and clean, I would have preferred shorter grass, but it was ok.  The hard standing areas were well laid out, albeit a tad cozy compared to the top field. The road layout meant that no one had to suffer excessive traffic. Facilities were kept in a very clean state, and there are two toilet blocks located together so there was always a facility available during cleaning times.  Very nice dog friendly beach at Pendower, 5 mins drive away, best sand (naturally) at low water. Quiet area compared to North Cornwall, charming fishing villages mean good local seafood.  Finally, do not slavishly follow GPS. It may tempt you off of the A3078 onto unsuitable back roads to save a couple of miles...

Lovely Site

Just returned from 2 week holiday of which 5 nights were spent at Merrose Farm. What a lovely site, even if the weather was against us some of the time. Good local farm shop in walking distance. Good local Bakery within five miles. Lots of good pubs for food. Stunning area generally and a lovely local walk on the coast path from the site. Will definitely stay here again.

Lovely Site

We had a lovely time at Merrose Farm in spite of the weather! The wardens were all fabulous - working really hard to keep the site spotless making a very comfortable stay for us. We visited St Mawes, Portscatho and the local farm shop. We would definitely stay at Merrose Farm again.

second visit

A very nice site, our second visit, both out of the school holidays, so it was quite peaceful despite being almost full. Super helpful, friendly staff and clean facilities, just a bit dated and small for the site size. Recommend the sea shanty festival in June at Falmouth via the ferry from St Mawes and Trebah Gardens, just beautiful. Great for dog owners.
