Perfect.

We are coming to the end of a three week stay at Merrose Farm. We were going to stay for two weeks but we’re able to extend our visit. I have nothing but praise for this lovely site, the area is divine the weather has been mostly lovely only two wet days out of 21 so in our view brilliant. The site is superbly maintained by Ruth and Phil, a lovely friendly couple who go over and above to make your stay perfect and work their socks off. The Caravan and Motorhome Club are extremely lucky to have such brilliant employees. Thank you Ruth and Phil for making our stay so memorable, we will return to your wonderful site.

Excellent site will be back

Had a lovely week at Merrose Farm Caravan and Motorhome Club site in June despite changeable 2024 summer weather. Lovely friendly welcome and plenty of information on arrival. The friendly, helpful wardens always have time to chat and offer advice - nothing is too much trouble. The site was busy and despite challenges they work hard and tirelessly every day with a smile and a wave keeping the site immaculate and ensuring a good time is had while staying on the site. The facilities always spotlessly clean and site neat and tidy throughout. Fish and chips on Tuesdays are very nice, highly recommended. If you are lucky enough to be staying when the swallows are dashing around the site it’s lovely to watch them nesting, hatching and fledging. Will definitely return, thanks Phil and Ruth for making us feel so welcome and everything you do.

Excellent site!

This is an excellent site from arrival to departure. The wardens are so very helpful and friendly, the site is immaculate and quiet, the area is unspoilt and beautiful! Near the coast path and a farm shop. Portscatho is nearby for food, shops, pubs/ cafe anda lovely little harbour. Close to excellent beaches, and many places to visit. We would absolutely recommend it, and we thank the wardens for their care, concern, work ethics and kindness! A wonderful place to relax! Another excellent stay here! Thank you wardens!

Excellent Campsite

We had a wonderful stay. The campsite is spotless, tidy, peaceful & tranquil. The staff were welcoming & friendly & nothing was too much trouble. Pizza's from the wagon that arrived on Sunday were delicious! Perfect place to wind down, relax & enjoy the sounds of nature. Will definitely visit again.

Campervan Visit April 2024

An excellent site. An exemplary welcome to a well laid out site, with useful information on local walks provided on arrival. Little site noise as tarmac roads around site. Facilities as usual for C&MC site. Easy access to SW Coast Path with a lovely NT flower meadow full of Early Purple Orchids at the time of our visit. Bus site at top of entrance road. We would not hesitate to recommend this site especially as access is easy for Cornwall.

Peace and quiet at a well run site

Lovely peaceful site in a great location to visit the area. Local store in Portscatho which is five minutes down the road. Near the King Harry Ferry for days out. Good enclosed field for the dog. We were lucky to have one of the hottest weeks of the year and the site was very busy. My only criticism would be that there is only one toilet block for a large site and I had to wait for a shower at peak times but otherwise we had a very good week.

Great location Lovely site

This site was really lovely. We had a nice stay here . Sta The best dog area we have ever come across , a massive field where dogs could run free and have a good time and plenty of excercise. Meant a lot to us. Weather was pretty bad but staying here it didn’t seem so bad Would definitely use this site again ❤️

Another lovely campsite

Stayed here for 5 nights during some very hot weather. First to be noted is that access to the site was a new one for us - traffic lights controlling the lane to and from the site. It worked fine for us on the way to the site - not so on the way out. The lights are on a timer of 2 minutes. On our way out, we went up the lane as they turned green (having just missed the previous green light), only to meet a car coming down. We reversed slightly so that the car could stop in the layby. Once underway again, we met another vehicle - he had to reverse back to the top. Whether they were out of sync or others went through red lights, who knows? Anyway, the site itself was clean and tidy. There is a great enclosed field for dogs to go off lead and it was very popular. We caught the bus into St Mawes which was reasonably priced and we also walked to Portscatho. Both were very nice. The beaches we went on were also dog friendly at the time. It's a site we will return to.

Another great stay at Merrose Farm.

We have just had another wonderful holiday at Merrose Farm. Two weeks of sunshine!! We would like to commend all of the wardens for their endless friendliness, patience, kindness and hard work! The welcome as usual was very friendly and smoothly organised. The grounds are immaculate and delightful, with lovely views. The area is wonderful, very quiet....a hidden gem! The beaches and facilities are excellent, and the most beautiful wild flowers everywhere you look. Walking the coastal path is a delight! Added to all of this is a great Farm shop, selling local produce and fish/shellfish they have caught only a 5 minute walk away! So....5 stars Merrose, and thank you all very much for another wonderful holiday. Hopefully returning later in the year!

First class!!

It has been a long time since we have holidayed in Cornwall, we normally head to Scotland, we enjoy the peace and quiet and the fact that the tourist spots, that attract us anyway, are not overpriced. Cornwall, unfortunately fell into that bracket with some ridiculous prices. However, I could not have found fault with Merrose Farm, the staff were amazing, the weather had just changed from wet and miserable to bright, sunny and warm days, the grass had grown like mad and the team had been unable to mow. They all worked really hard to get the grass cut, no mean feat when you consider the amount of grass pitches they have. The rest of the estate did not take a back seat, toilets were immaculate, water points cleaned, bins emptied and even the site roads were cleared of any stones and debris from trees and pitches. We would like to say “Thank you “ to all involved. Hopefully we will be back!
