Couple with VW California 20th May.

The weather was stunning. The site was large and the hardstanding pitches were generous. There was plenty of room to get around without stepping onto damp grass. Wardens very friendly and helpful. Facilities immaculate. Great start for bus to St Mawes or Truro or walk the coastal path around the headland to place ferry and bus back via St mawes Had a great 3 days. Such a peaceful site.

Fantastic one of the best sites we’ve been to.

Fantastic gem of a site. Friendly staff. Everywhere was well cared for. Toilet block and showers always very clean. Great area to walk our dog off lead on the site. Great walks along coastal path and excellent links to other places in the car. Really enjoyed our stay thank you to all the staff.

great location, one of our favourite sites

Friendly welcome from the wardens and the site facilities are always impeccably clean and well looked after. We love this area around the Roseland and have visited a number of times. we enjoyed the walk to Porthcurnick for tasty food from the hidden hut, and the ferry from St Mawes to Falmouth. We also took the king harry ferry into Truro. great walks along the coastal path and we went as far as the Thirstea cafe for ice cream (Town beach). couple of pubs for food at Portscatho also. A very relaxed and quiet site. We didn't get to Caerhays beach as we usually do, but that would be our recommendation for families with kids. We will return again soon.

Good site but disappointing area

Usual standard of club site with very friendly wardens. Toilet and showers were impeccable, and the pitches nicely sized. However not likely to stay here again which is down to the area being very disappointing. This should not influence anyone else from staying here especially if they have a car. Being in a large motorhome we were effectively limited to places available from the bus route. St Mawes was particularly disappointing. To summarise - site was lovely, area was disappointing

Still one of my favourite sites

I have been visiting this site on and off since 2001. It’s a great site in a beautiful area. I’m still finding places to see. We left the site today after staying over Easter. Some of the loveliest wardens we have ever met. Always asked how we were and if everything was okay, nothing was too muchj trouble and they were a great help to us and our friends when we had to take our awning down due to recent high winds. Thank you to Keith and all the wardens

Great site, would visit again.

A lovely relaxed site with very helpful staff. The site had great facilities which were kept immaculately clean and the staff had instigated a system of cleaning the toilets in the afternoon (fabulous idea) allowing people to have a lie in. There is a great farm shop within a ten minute walk and a lovely beach and beach cafe (The Hidden Hut) within walking distance. There is a regular bus into St Mawes (worth visiting) from where you can get the ferry over to Falmouth. It was so lovely we extended our stay and would have stayed even longer if we could. All in all a great site which we would definitely visit again.

Lovely relaxed site

Merrose is a really lovely site with plenty of space between caravans and camper vans . Really helpful wardens totally relaxed and welcoming . During the school holidays the site can be busy and if you park near the park area which is great for children then understandably it can get a bit noisy. But by 9.30pm all quiet. Lots of grass area for children to play safely. Shower blocks were kept clean by the wardens but unfortunately the club members didn’t leave it in such a good condition . That all said can’t wait to go back . The access is a lot easier than some other sites. Great walks around the coast . Lovely farm shop about 10 mins walk away well stocked but can be a bit expensive. Lovley fresh fish and crab etc Curgurrel farm shop . Hidden hut great pitstop on the way to Portscatho . Quaint Cornish village with good pub and a selection of eateries , art galleries and small independent shops. Driftwood restaurant for a special occasion . Caught the ferry from st mawes to Falmouth for a great day out . Fab place !

Really good site

Just returned from 2 brilliant weeks at this site.Site staff very helpful from when we arrived to when we left and all inbetween.Good area for walks with or without dogs, good play facilities for kids and grandkids all though we forgot to take ours and tell them where we were going (bliss). Good farm shop 10 min walkaway but some things a bit pricey. Found some nice quiet coves and beachies which we could park right next to has the wife had hurt her knee before we left so,some days the dog and i had to go walkies on our own and he insisted that we find a watering hole for him?? Some nice quiet lanes to drive down has well (except for screaming its to narrow) or something like that, was`nt really listening. Would recommend this site and the Roseland peninsular and we will be back.

Fabulous site

Had an amazing experience with the friendly and helpful management from the minute we arrived. They were ready to answer any queries and acted promptly to ensure we were settled. The pitch recommended was perfect for our needs and we were offered support with our awning when Mike took time out to ensure we were settled. Everything is so well maintained and the facilities are immaculate. The top part of the site is perfect for families as it has an extensive play area which has excellent pitches all around it to ensure parents can supervise their children while they relax. If you like it quiet the bottom part of the site is perfect and the middle pitches are suitable for everyone. There are plenty of service points dotted around the site that are maintained to the highest level. If you plan to explore the area the buses are every two hours at the site entrance. It is an ideal spot to bus part way and explore the many walks, beaches and eating places on the routes in both directions from the site. If you travel to St Mawes you also have the opportunity to travel on the water taxis which is only twenty minutes to Falmouth.
