Quiet holiday

Nice site in a pretty part of cornwall.site is central for sightseeing all areas of cornwall. Site very clean and tidy, toilets were clean all time but could do with abit updating. The wardens here do a fantastic job of keeping the site so tidy  knowing that there is so much grass ,trees, hedges and greenery to manicure.can be abit noisey with equipment been used, but thats a small niddle for such imaculate kept site.cant have perfection without work.wardens realy friendly and can't help anoth if you have problems.keep up the good work andthanks for a great holiday

Lovely location

HappyLovely site , we stayed the last week of August and it was quite empty . Good facilities, clean , tidy .Lovely coast path walks to nice beaches and a half hour walk through Rosevine village to lovely beach Porthcurnick if you prefer even ground. With lovely cafe ( the hidden hut ) .This is a dog friendly beach . From there another 10 minutes walk to the village of Portscatho where you can get a bus back that stops a campsite. We will be back .

Lovely site

We stayed here on the August bank holiday weekend, and had a lovely time. We can never find anywhere to stay with 5 dogs so we joined the caravan to ensure we can take our furries with us. It was so lovely to be able to let the dogs off their leads in a great dog walk field that is all enclosed. Staff was very friendly and the site was immaculate. Would have preferred a pub close but hey lol

Quiet location

This is a nice quiet site, even in August. This maybe because the site is quite remote & the surrounding area is hilly. If you don't mind the hills though, the beaches are lovely. There is a bus stop at the top of the hill, which takes you into St Mawes, a nice little fishing town & Truro the other way but that's about it, if you don't want to drive everywhere. The site though is very nice & extremely friendly.

Wonderful stay on lovely site

We are a family of 5 and had a great stay on this clean and safe site. The setting is beautiful, the site is immaculate and the facilities are excellent. It's also a great place from which to base a tour of Cornwall. Highly recommended.

Great site for all ages

Recently stayed 12 days on this site. As most reviews it is hard to pick fault with anything. Travelled 700miles and not disappointed. Check in was easy and all staff very friendly and helpful. We stayed on the grass area next to kids play area and was fantastic. Massive pitch (83) sheltered by trees. We do not have kids but play area was excellent and we were not disturbed by the noise. Great dog area which was totally enclosed - also great walks directly from site. Lovely area. Weather not great but made the best of it. Would have no hesitation in recommending to friends.

One of the best sites!

Stayed here for two weeks at the beginning of August. I have to concur with the majority of reviews I have read. A lovely peaceful site which was well maintained. Staff friendly and helpful, a well stocked shop. Pitches were plenty big enough (we were on pitch 3). The traffic light system is an excellent idea as you approach the site due to the narrow lane, I wish more club sites operated this system.  The showers in the big shower facilities did have low pressure and could be cold in temperature (due to high demand) but the ones in the smaller facilities were spot on. Fish and chip van every Monday, Wednesday & Friday which was very popular! Lovely play area for the kids. We will definitely be visiting again we loved it. Thank you!

First CC stay, and at Merrose Farm - great!

Having recently purchased a small motorhome (Mazda Bongo) a relative, himself 20 years a CC member recommended this club; we joined then went to Merrose Farm, where he's been many times before. We were not disappointed. Echo the reviews of the staff performance - they were super. Great heads and bathrooms (some showers more powerful than others); superb for young children with a great playground; as everybody else highlights, just an excellent location to explore the Roseland Peninsula. Our first CC stay was very positive, however, I think paying extra for wi-fi when one has paid the site fee is 'stone age' in these days of commercial leisure norms. Not the site's fault and as a new CC member I'll be taking this up with the central CC management to suggest that they should provide free wi-fi at all of their sites (I hope I'm not alone in thinking this); whether this falls on deaf ears or not I'll have to wait and see. Availability of free wi-fi aside, we'll definitely be back to Merrose Farm!
