A great site for New Year

Melrose is an excellent friendly border town with a fantastic range of good quality shops and services. Definitely  worth a visit is Millers butchers ,venison and haggis sausage rolls are to die for. Site facilities up to normal high standards with friendly attentive wardens. Only one issue the gents ran out of loo rolls one evening which I suspect was more likely the result of members liberating them for use in their own vans rather than not being replenished during the day. Whilst the weather was appalling withe the river Tweed rising over 4' overnight the New Year fireworks were superb. We will be back again.

All you need within 2 minutes' walk

Stayed here just as Storm Desmond was approaching, so it was dark and wet, but site is fab. Co-op and Spar shop within a couple of minutes' walk, some gorgeous eating places and a bus stop close to the site entrance. Shower block warm and clean, bins and recycling under cover. Took a friend on her first motorhome trip and she's hooked!

First timer

Our first time here and what a gem, it's a great site, very good position for the village and walks, very good facilites.  Met some lovely people and we plan to come back again.  The Priory Orchard (NT) is worth a visit also watching the salmon fishermen from the chain bridge.

A Fab site

Another wonderful week at this superb site, the wardens Linda & John excel at their job being friendly, nothing is too much trouble whilst managing to keep the site immaculate. Pitches, facilities and location make it for perfect days away, being located in the town, all is close to hand for eating out, pubs, shops & lovely walks all around. We'll be back soon! Smile

Hidden gem

A beautiful site hidden in beautiful village of Melrose. There are lots of things to do and places to visit from this base. There are lots of great places to eat in Melrose. The facilities are exceptional the staff helpful and understanding.  As a disabled visitor the facilities are perfect,  the dog walk is accesible via some steps so I could not access it,  but thats a small price to pay for what is otherwise perfect location.

Our favorite site

The site, wardens, area and places to go in Melrose and beyond, all first class ! We always try to visit this site a few times per season. Plenty eateries, coffee shops in the town as well as great butcher shops, the site is a lovely quiet site, in a beautiful part of the country, anybody who dislikes the site and area, must be very hard to please.
