Return visit to Meathop

Made our annual visit to Meathop Fell in mid May and as usual all was fine and dandy. Facilities immaculate and well kept, no faults what so ever. We were accompanied on this visit by our daughter and family who thoroughly enjoyed their stay. Excellent site for visiting the surrounding towns with Cartmel  a must to try the sticky toffee pudding mmmmm. We will definitely be back and would recommend.

A return visit

We stayed here last year and returned but only for two nights this time on our way up to Scotland. This is the most magical site with wonderful views over fields or Morecombe Bay, the choice is yours. We didn't take long to choose our pitch, we just looked over the wall for where we were last time and hurrah, it was free. Facilities are spotless and warm! This is becoming one of our 'must go to' places.

Lovely weather, lovely site.

Just returned from a lovely week at this site. Clean and tidy site as you would expect. A good meal at the adjacent Woodlands Hotel Caravan Park. Lots of things to do nearby. Enjoyed a visit to Holker hall and gardens (2 for 1 with club voucher) which were lovely at this time of year. Grange and Cartmel are pretty villages with interesting little shops, sticky toffee pud is very yummy! I think the club needs to update its information linked to this site as I attempted to go to Kayes Tearoom and nursery which the club listed as one of the places to visit - but it had closed down about 18mths ago. Also the model village is no longer a 2 for 1 member offer. Otherwise a great week. Motor museum great and a glorious cruise on Lake Windermere. Many attractions within a 10 mile radius so not spending hours in the car when you could be enjoying the sunshine.

A beautiful site, immaculately kept, facilities always spotless no matter what time of day or night.wardens were very friendly and extremely helpful. Information room well stocked with leaflets covering a wide area of the Lake District and beyond, enough info to keep you busy for the holiday.  Our stay was not long enough we could have stayed for much longer We will be back

Great site in a fabulous location. Our 4th visit and standards remain as high as ever. One of the best sites we have visited which is a credit to the wardens who are very friendly and helpful. The facilities are spotless.
