Pleasant staff

Having just arrived after a few nights at an opposition site where the warden was real grumpy, it was nice to see people who really enjoyed their job. Everyone was very happy and smiley. Not far into town and most places accessible by wheelchair. Even free fishing on the river but I didn't catch anything. Will definitely be back.

Excessive Grass Cutting

Stayed here for 4 nights, it's lovely site and we will return. Considering it was late September and the grass doesn't grow so much and it was wet, the same piece of grass was mowed 4 times in the time we were there, (by extremely noisy grass cutting machines), or should I say flattened as it was too wet to cut. It was not necessary to constantly cut the grass for hours on end by the same person, who also had an infatuation with pitch marking a he was always moving the posts. Give us all a break, I would rather listen to the buzzards above and enjoy the peace and quiet, hope the situation improves for next time I am there (please).

Pitch marker pins

Nice handy site. Toilet block could do with a refurbishment, but they were very clean & tidy. We pitched the caravan on the marker pin as instructed but as it was a smaller pitch 2 wheels of the car ended up on the grass! We were immediately told off by one of the wardens that we weren't on the pin. When we pointed out that we were, he told us the caravan was squint - it wasn't. He then moved the pin to the edge of the pitch & grudgingly told us we didn't have to re-position the caravan as we were only there for 2 nights. Not much of a welcome, (but to be fair staff in reception were friendly). Maybe the wardens should check the position of the pins on a regular basis & not treat their members like idiots. Despite this experience it won't put us off visiting again.

Nice little site

We stayed on this site on our way to the highlands it's not as the photos there is long grass on the river bank and the gnats were out in force. It's a short walk to the village that has a co-op and newsagents there's a hotel across the road from the site which has live music at the weekend, Dachart falls are just outside the village. It's a good site with spotless facilities, clean and tidy with helpful warden

Nice site

Stayed on this site for 4 nights. Nice site, spacious pitches. Toilet block in need of updating. Bit of noise from the A827 - this road coming from Pitlochry drive with care, bit bumpy! Felt it was a bit out of the way to visit places. There was a water leak whilst we were there, the toilet block was closed for a short period - the wardens came around to each caravan and explained the situation, which was appreciated.

Another great site!

We stayed here in early July and had a lovely 2 nights. easy access to the site, lots if openness and easy pitching. great location for walks and tourist attractions if that's what you like. site is next to the road but this was not noisy at all. toilets and showers were always available and wardens were on hand if needed for local info. if you want a treat then try the Bridge of Orchy hotel/reataurant. 5 min walk from the site and fantastic food. all in all a great club site.

wonderful

Fantastic site with great wardens, clean toilets and well maintained pitches. Location is perfect base for touring, fishing, cycling, walking or just generally lazing around. Easy walk into the village where there is a good selection of pubs, restaurants, essential shopping and tourism spots. Been here on a few occasions and it is definitely one of my local favourites.

Killin time

We were first time visitors to this site, and used it as a stop over for a few nights enroute to Oban and the west of Scotland, and its set in a a lovely place next to the river and a short walk to the village of Killin about a 8/10 minute walk.

Its just over 90 minutes north of Glasgow The site is lovely with great views of ben lawyers from the site, we found it quiet and peaceful and the wardens were very welcoming. Toilet block is located in the middle of the site and was clean and tidy, although getting a little dated now but plenty of hot water in the showers.

Best piches are next to the river and we didnt hear much traffic noise from there We took several walks from the site, if you turn left out of the site you come to a little bridge, turn left and follow the road you come to the cemetary and then the old castle, worth a trip. Continue for a few hundred metres and you come to the old disused railway track, this takes you up into killin to the falls and several cafes and and is lovely under the shade of the trees.

We also took the trip to loch tay which was a circular walk from the railway track, quite nice. If you turn right from the site you come to a country hotel and the golf course on the right, which serves really good food and drinks. Killin itself was a lovely little village with a selection of shops a great coop and pubs/ cafes.

Go enjoy yourself in this lovely spot, we will return.
