Our umpteenth visit

Domestic circumstances (house move) have led to our spending a lot of time at Malvern this summer. On each visit, we've found our fondness for the site has grown. The spacious feel, the views of the hills, the facilities and friendly staff are a good base to start from. Add the attractions offered by the local area, especially the town of Malvern itself and you would struggle to find a better place to spend your leisure time. Perhaps that's why we're moving to Malvern!

LOVELY BIG SITE

This was our first visit to Malvern Hills and right at the end of the season. We found it nice and clean and the wardens were very friendly and helpful. How refreshing to have the toilet blocks cleaned early afternoon when you are out and about rather than late morning when you need them! We didn't have time to walk the local hills, but found the surrounding area to be well worth exploring with some nice local villages and towns. How cosy to sit by an open fire sipping a coffee in Upton upon Severn! We tried the local Swan pub in Hanley Swan as it was much recommended but found the food a bit pricey. My wife had the pollack and chips off the "pub classics" menu which was fine, but £13.50 is a fair bit for fish and chips. I had the "roasted loin of local cotswold venison" for £19.75, thinking it would be a steak rather than a handful of small medallions on some steamed greens. Maybe I am not cultured enough - I suppose you would call it nouvelle cuisine. We will definitely be returning to the Malvern Hills site as it is an excellent base to explore the area.

What a gem

This was our first visit to the site and as it is only 80 minutes from home I cannot believe we have not been before. Stunning with the trees turning to reds and golds. Easy to find and well located. Very well kept and helpful wardens too (aren't they always though). Quick and easy to Malvern and Worcester. The leaflet does mention that you could spend a day at the Hop Pocket. Hmm, you might only need an hour or so unless you stop for a cup of tea!

A Favoutite

Always a pleasure to visit the Malvern site. The facilities are very clean with super showers. For motorhomes the water point is easily accessed as you enter the site. The wardens work hard to keep the site looking tidy and in October the trees on site are such beautiful colours. The Three Counties showground is just 5 minutes away by car and local shops are easily reached at Barnards Green. As always we enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Beautiful site

Beautiful site with beautiful views. A lovely place to get away from all the hustle and bustle and chill out. I loved the little herb garden that you were free to pick from. Unfortunately i didn't notice it until we were leaving. Showers and toilets were very clean and piping hot water in the showers. Couldnt fault anything. Would definitely be going back.

Excellent site and great location

We have just returned from a 4 day visit to this site. Immaculate grounds and first class toilet and shower blocks. At this time of year only hard standings available. We were very lucky with the weather and were able to visit Upton, Great Malvin and Hanlay Swan. Can recommend the Swan in Hanley Swan for good food and beer. I can imagine during the summer months the site must appear very crowded when the grass pitches are full but we found the site at this time very quiet and peaceful.  Will definitely return again.

We found this site to be one of the best kept site that we have visited. Grounds were immaculate, toilet block extremely well cleaned. Info room very tidy and orderly. A big well done to wardens and assistants

Superb site

Arrived to a lovely welcome, found a pitch, settled in. Shame the bus stop has moved to further up the road, bad on a wet day, but fortunately we had a wonderful few days weatherwise. 20 minutes into Worcester on the bus. Facilities clean and very warm. Site wardens could not have been more helpful. Would love to return.

Enjoyable stay

Stayed for a 2 night weekend break on the way back from Cornwall this was our first stay here and we only stayed here as the Tewkesbury site was full due to some folk festival but that turned out to be a lovely blessing in disguise.   Malvern is a superb site large open area, spotlessly clean toilets, really helpful wardens, the grass pitches had closed for the winter but plenty of hard standing was still available. Less than a mile down the road is a lovely pub at Henley Swan with good food and beer also a general store over the road further afield is Upton which has several great pubs, shops, and some great walks along the river Severn (great for Dog walkers) further afield again you have Worcester, Malvern, (great walks over the hills) all in all a great short stay we had.
