Good site

Lovely site set in part of an old quarry, teeming with wildlife. Facilities a little dated but more than adequate Will certainly use it again.

Excellent site, perfect location, fantastic wardens and ducks!

We absolutely loved this site!!! Our first one on joining the caravan club on our tour of Britain and WOW, don't think it will ever be beaten! We arrived very late on our first night, in the rain and the wardens were so helpful and so friendly. They had us sorted on a lovely pitch next to them and there we stayed for the few days we were there. Main toilet/facilities block was superb. Site was beautiful and the wildlife was such a lovely bonus - we got very attached to the ducklings. We could've stayed there for our whole holiday, but had more of Britain to explore! They even booked ahead for us for the next site in the Lake District. Loving the Caravan Club! We would thoroughly recommend this wonderful site and we will be back! Superb location for exploring Wensleydale and Swaledale and great local town of Leyburn. All you could need. Thank you.

the ideal site

Had a weekend break here1/8/16 the site was spotless, neil+jenny are very helpful and hard working to keep the site to this standard. (neil is always up for a good chat) The walks were good and of course the local pub(5mins away). I will certainly revist this fantastic site.

Wensleydale break

This site is ideal for touring North Yorkshire even for a Yorkshire resident. As always the wardens high level of maintenance of the site was excellent. Neil and Jenny are very friendly and helpful, (Mike and Sue weren't met). Although the site hasn't got WiFi access it can be got in the Market Place in Leyburn for free. It's a little slow but ok for emails etc. The wardens have the info regarding how to logon. At this time of year the site is home for families of ducks, rabbits and the resident peacock (very noisy at daybreak joining in the dawn chorus). Will be visiting again.Happy

Absolutely fantastic

Stayed for the weekend, fantastic site, friendly staff, lots of ducks, chicks, a resident peacock and rabbits. Nice walk into Leyburn and local pub which is dog friendly. Grandson was thrilled when the passing train driver and passengers all waved. Will be back soon.

Tranquil

We stayed here for four nights and really enjoyed our stay. it was lovely and clean and the wardens were very friendly and extra helpful. it is a quirky site with different levels and hidden pitches, the rabbits ducklings and squirrels were lovely to watch. There was only one thing i didn't enjoy and that was the peacock waking me up calling for its mate at 3-45 in the morning, i'm sure it doesn't do this all the time only in the mating season, we wont let it put us off we will just go at a different time of year,

A little gem!

Stayed here mid-week for 3 nights, lovely setting and well laid out pitches. The rabbits and ducks/ducklings were a delight, as were the friendly staff. A great base for visiting other towns, Leyburn just up the road well served with shops, bars and places of interest. Lots of lovely little villages within 10 miles. A quaint little pub only 5 minutes walk away - a really relaxing little break. We'll be back!
