First time

First time at this site and very impressed. Good facilities all nice and clean and excellant staff. Yes the road passing the site can be a little noisy if a loud motor bike roars pass but otherwise presented no problem to us and certainly didn't disturb us at night. If you want no noise find a field in the middle of nowhere. Will certainly return.

Short weekend breaks

We've taken a couple of short weekend breaks on this site and on both occasions have found it clean, convenient and welcoming. It is well-positioned for Littlehampton and other beaches along the south coast, with a big Morrison's and a couple of reasonable pubs very close by. We've been parked quite close to the playground and did find it a bit noisy and rowdy but not too intrusive. The upside was that we were also close to the toilet block, which was fine, as expected. Overall, a better site for a short break rather than a long stay.

August 2018

Stayed here for a week. Good points: clean and tidy site, showers large and powerful, easy access to Littlehampton. Bad points: Club shop very small, not much on sale. Site quite noisy at times with loads of kids roaming around quite late and not much sign of wardens. Toilets sometimes blocked but not closed or fixed very quickly. Location : Main road out of Littlehampton a nightmare and large queues much of the time. Not impressed with the area, Bognor Regis has nothing of note, Littlehampton quite run down, Worthing okish.Arundel very nice but castle expensive. Brighton worth a visit but a good 50 mins with traffic. Overall, site reasonable , but location not for me and would book the Brighton site next time.

Midweek Break August 2018

Stayed here for three days recently, site was full and we were allocated pitches by the childrens play area, we do not have problems with children playing but some of the older children there were intent on wrecking the play area, up to 10pm, no supervision by parents at all. The site overall is excellent with clean facilities, staff were very helpful and friendly, will definitely visit again but maybe not during summer holidays. Road noise was not evident most of the time, motorbikes made the most noise on the road.

Great Site

After reading a few negatives on this site we were worried, but didn't need to be. Wardens asked us if we wanted a quiet spot and it was lovely and peaceful. Shower block spotlessly clean. Near to Morrisons where they did a good cheap breakfast. We will definitely be back to this site.

very friendly site

Stayed here for 5 nights. I have read previous reviews which mention traffic noise. It must be noted that this site is on the outskirts of a large town and everything that goes with that. Road and rail. You cant have everything. Noise noted more on the side of the site near the dog walk particularly. Whilst its evident most of the time, it didn't spoil our stay That is the only negative. Site is very convenient for all amenities and within walking distance of a couple of pubs serving food. The site its self is immaculate. Pitches maybe a bit small but plenty of well trimmed hedges offering privacy. All roads are tarmac and in very good condition. Over all this is a nice friendly site beautifully kept. Well worth a few days at least.

Great stay.

We have been to this site many times and it never lets us down. The wardens are very welcoming and helpful, the toilet/shower block is always kept spotlessly clean. Great for people with disabilities as they have a specific wetroom/toilet room. Great for using as a base to explore the area. Morrison’s supermarket within walking distance and a great pub called the six bells who do amazing food and would highly recommend. Stayed for a week with my disabled mum and could not fault the site. The only smallest issue is the children’s park is set within the caravans and at times can be extremely noisy with some children staying in the park until approximately 10pm.

Love this site..

This was a late booking for us (booked on Saturday, arrived Tuesday) and was going to be 4 nights. When we arrived, we found it was Armed Forces Day on the following Saturday and as the pitch was available, booked a 5th night. The lady on Reception was very welcoming and suggested a great pitch close to the water tap and waste areas as there were no fully serviced pitches left. Have only marked it down slightly for peace and quiet as it's next to the A284 but really, you can't hear much. It's a good, clean site with good amenities, spacious pitches, well located for getting into Littlehampton or Arundel and other towns. Can't comment on if it's good for families or dog friendly as there's just us two, although there is a play area and dog walking area.

Had a really great time at Littlehampton.

Visited Littlehampton site last week, using it as a base to explore. Very clean, tidy, and well kept. Pitches all seem large and level, (the one we had was anyway). Make sure you have extra long waste and water hoses, as some connection points require this. Toilets/showers were clean and user friendly, but some users need to think on how they leave them after use!!! Good local shopping for daily requirements with a Tesco superstore selling fuel within a two mile drive of Wick, and more in Littlehampton. A drive through MCDs is also handy if needed. Site shop and female staff are friendly, but sorry to say that the male warden was less so (obviously he was having a bad day when we arrived). If you just want to sit and relax, it is the park for you, (we stayed from a Tuesday to a Friday). Brighton is a nice drive away, and a good day out, (but the Pier no longer allows dogs), and avoid Bognor as the sea front is dyer, although 'high Street' shopping is good if bored. The Littlehampton site is a good base to explore, or as a stop off.

Very Clean, Peaceful site - great for kids, famcilies, couples and dogs

We returned to Littlehampton site (not been since 2016) and were nervous due to some negative reviews on the site. happy to say none of these applied to our visit. There were no commercial vehicles on the site. The facilities were spotless. There was no loud music heard on the site (let alone music played till midnight like one review). The site was full when we were there. The play ground is great for kids age 5-11. The dog walk is small but perfectly practical for few minutes exercise. pitches level and good, however, like my previous review in 2016 they are very close together. For people with dogs, west whittering beach has a section called East Head that allows dogs on the beach all year. The Lamb Inn allows dogs, has a playground and does good food near by. Arundel is lovely place to visit and also has a number of pubs and cafe's that allow dogs and have good kids menus. We will definitely be back as its close to us and works for kids and dogs. My only comment for improvement would be for dogs that are unsociable, aggressive or possessive - ie go for other dogs because they think they are going to take away their ball- they should be kept on a lead... even if you are CHMH staff.
